Welp... this might be the most relatable car video you watch on KZbin all week. From thinking I was done working on the Honda Civic street car to working in the Boost Cave until 2am for multiple nights in a row. I cannot express just how mentally challenging this video was to create. I hope you enjoy watching one of the last few adventures with Frank the Tank and his 600 horsepower LS VTEC Engine.

I feel your frustration with the cars man. Just have to trust God. My cars like 80% complete, I’ve been working on it non stop. But because the area I have to work with is so small it honestly just makes it a pain. After the car sitting and barely making any progress, I wanted to get it rolling again. Safe to say it finally is. I’m super happy lol.

Just a shot in the dark here but idk if you recently took the cam caps off but maybe the o-ring under the center cap is going bad or maybe you forgot to put it back and when going in to higher rpms vtec freaks out.

I was wondering if the alternator belt was slipping when you went into boost. If it were slipping your voltage would have dropped off causing your fuel pump to receive less amps and a lower pressure which would have caused a lean event. Are you able to send power direct to the vtec solenoid to actuate the valve? If not the pins on the solenoid side of the connector may not be making full connection. I've read that the cover that goes on the solenoid for dress up can cause issues too. I think I saw you had taken it off, but just in case. If it's magnetic it may interfere.

I’m going through issues myself with my b20v swapped Ek. Before I sent it to the transmission shop I noticed i was having a misfit and a bit of lost power. So when I get it back I ran a compression test and I’m at 125 on cylinder 2 😢. Pull the head and exhaust side valve is definitely burnt. As well as head gasket is allowing coolant to oil leak. Ordered the parts today and hopefully start the head rebuild Friday. Wish me luck 🍀 🤞🏼

I felt this.. Mann did I ever feel this... From the very moment you said, "We are going to completely finish this car". As far as the Vtec solenoid goes, Are you running a Vtec oil pressure switch? If so, make sure it's it's grounded. If not, MAke sure it's checked in hondata to "disable Vtec oil pressure switch" As far as the lean condition goes, my .02... You are having issues with your alternator, perhaps the voltage offset for the fuel injectors needs to be looked into? Usually this isn't an issue but may be worth a shot. Low voltage would affect the pulse width of the injectors, hence potentially creating a lean condition. I struggle with stupid problems like these with hondata every once in a while as well. Main reason i'm looking to switch to a Fueltech in the near future.

John I have a set of rear sway bar bushings for 06-11 civic, part# 52306-SNA-A01 I have no use for them I would like to donate them to you as i do not know any1 with an 8th gen, and I cannot return this product as its been sitting for 3yrs on the shelf.
