Major Big 12 TV Deal News: Yormark Making Moves

Finding a new media partner that isn't named ESPN or FOX should be more of a priority for other conferences than it is right now. Jmo.

I think the problem was for awhile it didn't make sense to compete with either Fox or ESPN due to valuation of college sports and the tight grip both companies had before these conferences started making so much damn money. Now some of these conferences are so big, rich, and well branded (ie Big 12 and ACC) that there's the possibility other media companies can pry these conferences away and make a fuck ton of money doing it. This competition can only be good for the sport and the other conferences (Especially so for the Big 12 and ACC)

ESPN blatantly went back to Ohio St and didn't showcase the Big 12 game of the week on ESPN Game Day. There is a clear bias

B12 has really no FB games to watch. WV and USF. FB Ohio State, Texas, Penn State, Illini’s or Indiana game . Who would you watch. B12 is a pretender league in CF but their sport is Basketball.

My main concern is no money upfront regarding TNT. The Big 12 cannot pay bills off of exposure. The ESPN+ inventory may not be premier games but they're worth something. I do see Yormark getting to the money very quickly and not letting TNT get 6 years (2031) free exposure.

Besides TNT, CBS Sports also has a sublicense agreement with ESPN to air 26 Big 12 basketball games per year through 2026-2027. ESPN primarily promotes the SEC & ACC during basketball season, while the Big 12 is invisible on ESPN Plus. Make it make sense.

Big 12 on Netflix? Big 12 can earn like 7 cent per subscribers. Netflix has over 282.7 million paid subscriber worldwide. Take 282.7 million times .07 cent. That is around $ 1.97 million a month. And plus Ads too.
