May was surprised, but over the months, May Pang and John Lennon became lovers and maintained that relationship until the late 1970s

He talked my ear off in the dream, wish I could remember what he said. Then he had to get back to work. I remember feeling such a deep love for him and a deep love coming from him. I love this man. He touched my soul. Two spirits dancing so strange. Was it in a dream? Was it just a dream? I know, yes I know It seemed so very real Seemed so real to me. It was real! I had a connection like that with John’s spirit when I was meditating in the cave #9 where he used to meditate in the ashram in India! After meditating, I picked up my guitar, and saw the roof of the cave had a painting with a line from Yoko to John that said: “when you look up at the sky and see a cloud think of me.” I started a song with that opening line and suddenly it was him playing and writing a song, the melody sounded too much like John. So much so I couldn’t even use the song for myself because I felt it was John’s spirit pouring through me

Of all John's fine songs, this is the one that always touches me the most. Unique in its feel and imagery, this is more than just 'great' - it truly recalls something beyond consciousness, as close to a dream in popular song form as will ever be reached. Sad, peaceful, whimsical, nostalgic, wise and knowing, all at once, it's just beautiful. The serenity of his vocal, coming to you from an 'otherworldly' distance, combines with the gorgeous sweep of the strings to take you to another place entirely. A whole world of feeling and perception is expressed in just under five minutes. Sublime, unforgettable...

Played this song just now for my 72 y.o. father, who is very depressed and falling apart in many ways. He is coming to grips with his mortality and this song put a glint in his eyes that I hadn't seen in years. We reminisced about how this song reminds me of the last innocent and sweetest time of our lives, my childhood. Thats when we played this endlessly on my parents old wooden stereo on the back deck, while night swimming, gazing at the electric blue ripples against the side of house from the blue spotlight he cast on the pool.we thanked him for creating this little slice of heaven for us, and reminded him we were all once together and happy before my mom, who happens to be Japanese, left him and our little house down by the river. No dad, it wasnt just a dream.

This is by far my favorite Lennon song! It's just as fresh today as it was when it was first released. When John, a peaceful man, was so violently taken from the world, I mourned his loss. I still mourn him today. Thank you, John for sharing your gift for music with us. What more would you have shared with us? Love, peace and eternal slumber to you, John!

I had the John Lennon Legend DVD when I was in college and I remember taking acid with some friends and just sitting down and watching the DVD from beginning to end multiple times. This is one of the songs/videos that really stands out from that day. It was a great trip and I will always look back at that time in my life very fondly.

Number nine number nine number nine number nine number nine number nine number nine number nine Enuf! This song restores #9 back to a good place. This is my favorite Lennon Song so dreamy like you're up there floating on the clouds just soaring over the world like a billowy be trip above the Earth and across the universe all the way to heaven the place he tried to imagine out of existence but couldn't because it's real and he's there now talking to the Jesus he said they were more popular than and maybe he was right because people forgot all about God the only reason we exist. Later he said it was a shame that it was true. I hope to meet him one day. #9 OCTOBER was his birthday. When he sang out HELP! I think he was calling out to God. All those years ago.
