Darrel Be It was done by one direction first in their album "made in the am" they also released 4 songs at a time but not after a month as john is doing . the reason was the songs get leaked at one go. daughters by john mayer was also a leaked song which he never wanted to put in his album which got a Grammy in end.

Chris Miller I see where you're coming from but honestly, I can't define how good this man's music is off of the success he gets from radio play and from Grammy awards. I definitely see your point and agree with you in a way.. but I refuse to believe it's impossible for him to top himself. He sounds better than he ever has in terms of his guitar technicality and I thought for the longest that he'd never top Continuum but I'm sorry man.. after listening to this.. I'm being proven wrong. I may just be speaking for myself here but in my opinion, this is the best music he's put out to this date.

I'm 34. And most of my friends, who are between 28 and my age, don't know Mayer's music beyond his radio hits and think he's an average talent. Or they don't like his style of music. My 1 buddy who is a jazz/emd fan was recently introduced to Mayer by me. And he can't believe how underappreciated Mayer's talent and song writing is by the vast majority. P.s. every party everyone puts music on a play list. And every time John Mayer comes on they go " must've been Ronnie" you're goddamn right it was.

The thing I love most about this album is that usually John will play more minimal, melodic solos on albums, but then LIVE, he'll add on sections and really cut loose with the shredding. But on TSFE, he's letting the solos fly on the albums this time around. So good.
