This is an incredible album. When all is said and done, this man, this artist, will be in the same conversation as Dylan, and Springsteen in term of lyrical ability. And in the same breath as Clapton, SRV and Jimi in terms of a guitarist. For me, a fan since '00 he's always been there. I've seen the talent he possesses. But again, this artist will one day be in the same conversation with Dylan and Bruce in terms of the best American song writers. And he's already up there with Clapton and SRV and Jimi with a guitar. I completely agree. On top of songwriting in comparison with Dylan, Mayer is also just as talented as Dylan has been with evolving his music. Dylan always recreated his music, constantly changing genres in albums. John does the exact same if you compare all of his albums. They each have different feels and stories they are trying to portray. I think deep down this is one of his most underrated qualities that most people overlook besides his guitar and songwriting skills.
