JD's shows us why he took him the top prize as World Yoyo champion for the single handed division in the World Yoyo Championship 2003. This is undoubtably my all time favoruite 1A video.

The whole pause in between trick sets and throwing hands up encouraging applause has been around for a long time. A solidified yo-yo competition mannerism.

JD is a freaking God at yoyoing. All of his tricks back then still to this day are incredible...
@kuyaChrischan12 жыл бұрын
I remember when I first started modern yoyoing 15 months ago, I thought this freestyle was extremely boring because it didn't have the flashy tricks and JD was just standing in one place. But now that I've learned the history and a lot of tirkcs since and this has become one of my favorite freestyles due to its complexity and tech. Awesomeness.

The first 30seconds of this of this video was JD telling the crowed and the judges... "I tell the yoyo what to do, and Im leading it, so prepare to see what the pack leader does when directing his dogs" :)

well that trick should get scored way higher than a regular arm grind people usually do in contests. I remember talking to Johnnie at Worlds and I asked him how long it took him to get that trick down and he told me around 3 months. So yeah that's a trick that was worked on pretty hard and should get alot of points :)plus its just pretty darn awesome

You are tripping. Compared to today this freestyle is incredibly terrible.
@DvNZBRCL Жыл бұрын
@@thugnasty1021Are you complaining about the roots of the current yoyoing? What a big L dude there's no point of comparison, It's like you were comparing a car from 60 years ago with a current car c'mon touch some grass, put more respect to the guys who formed Evan, Brandon or any other mainstream yoyoer out there.

Btw I've never said "still very solid to today standards", If you want to keep making that unnecessary comparison, that's your problem pal.
