Not only does Johnnie Ray sell great products but their customer service is incredible. I placed an order taking advantage of their recent Black Friday special. It shipped and arrived quickly. The issue came when I opened the package and found that three of the oils had broken in shipping. A email to their customer service was quickly replied to from Nate who took care of everything. A new shipment was sent that not only replaced the broken oils but also included a couple of extras. Plus they sent a gift code to use on my next order. Any company can offer good service when things go well, the true test is how a company handles things when something goes wrong. Johnnie Ray you have made me a customer for life!

Awesome review. I don't know why but when you asked Sam to smell a scent and her reaction of I just smell your hand had me cracking up. Her reactions are great. Ty for the mention as a tester and I have really enjoyed the Johnnie Rays products. Nate and Hannah are awesome owners. Excited for the growth and future of this company. I highly recommend these products across the board. Beard Oil - the oil has made it into my top 3 feel in beard oils. My beard really enjoys this carrier blend. I know it's a bold statement but this made my beard feel as soft as or softer than the bird oils. This is a complex carrier blend but is works very well for me Beard Oil Scents - Genesis was my top scent. Great Cherry tobacco and sandalwood, Vice - great tobacco scent with the raspberry (raspberry is there but blends well and is not overpowering). Shaka is just a great summer/beach scent. London Fog - this is a scent that continues to grow on me in a positive way. It is a great smooth cologne that is calming. I have this in butter also and I use it at night because it is so smooth and relaxing. Embark - I enjoyed the light campfire smoke in this, woodsy, masculine, and a touch of smoke. Stones Trace - leather and tobacco and Dan & Sam enjoyed this. Great leather scent. Clarity - great refreshing scent. Native - great natural/sweet scent that fades over time. 1947 - a good coffee/warm cookie scent. Nirvana - Apple is the winner in this one. The beard butter worked very well for me. Very nourishing and feels very soft in the morning. It is a poured butter and is a smooth soft butter. The scents are the same in the butter as they are in the oils. I know he will be launching a mustache wax soon. It is an everyday strong hold mustache wax. I really enjoy it

Johnnie ray is straight 🔥 in every way... from oil blend to scents to customer service... double checks in all the boxes... anything I say about this straight 🔥 company is an understatement... already almost killed an entire bottle already... my new go to everyday for the last couple weeks for my morning oil... best not even close race for Florida heat and humidity... light not greasy at all and no extra sweating...even enjoyable in these scorching conditions...I highly highly recommend this 🔥 company...a must have in every bearded man's routine...

I won a combo on the launch live stream, I also purchased a second, and was fortunate enough to beg a sample of the mustache wax... Shaka and Nirvana are the two scents I chose, both are great... The feel in beard is awesome! The Mustache wax is Legit! It applies easily and holds great, I wore it on a day we had a company outing in the park in the 100 degree heat, and survived a 4 mile walk that afternoon! Awesome!!!

Great company great oil blend great service!!!! Tested these oils and loved most of the scents. The only one I wasn’t too fond of is the 1947 coffee, oatmeal, cookies. It was too sweet for my smell. But I could see someone that loves sweet scents to love it. I encourage everyone to give it a try for sure.

When you’re constantly rotating through different products, how often do you clean or replace a board hair brush?

I personally do not use one anymore, but I would clean or rotate when you see build up

I still have and use my boars hair brush I received from the dollar beard club back in 2015! 😂 I wash and clean it out every 3 to 6 months, more if I see build up sooner. Most fragrances don’t last more than a day or 2 so I don’t worry much about the previous scents carrying over, except for one time I had to wash it sooner when I received an oil with a maple syrup scent from one of my favorite companies and it just would not dissipate, even after a few weeks! Ha ha ha! I had to clean all my beard tools then…..anyone looking for a great carrier blend that smells like maple syrup? 😂 Jk!

Johnnie Ray! I was fortunate enough to be able to pick up the sample oil pack on the launch day! I got all 10 scents and have used all but 2, Stone's Trace and Vice. So let me break my opinion down with the good and then the bad! Honest opinion incoming! The Good: First the carrier blend! The feel in beard is amazing! I love the viscosity and my beard remains soft all day long. I wore Native first and the cucumber seed oil came through very strong which gave me a nice scent at first but within 30 mins it disappeared and was true to the neutral scent. Shaka is my favorite so far as the scent is very nice and lasted all day. I could still smell it in my beard when I went to bed! I am not a mint fan at all but surprisingly both Clarity and Nirvana did not bother me! They smelled amazing! The bad: First the carrier blend! (Wait he said this was good?) Indeed it is good. Maybe too good. How so? I feel like I smell the carrier blend coming through in a lot of the scents and almost blending the scents together to which I can't tell some apart from another. They almost have the same smell with just a little tiny bit of a difference with the acception being Shaka as it's very strong to me. Embark was my favorite scent so far as smell goes but it seemed to fade VERY fast for me. Within 30 mins it was almost gone and I felt like I had another neutral scent in beard which was unfortunate cause I loved it so much. And 1947 was my least favorite so far due to the Oatmeal Cookie scent in there. I can't have food scents in my beard cause it smells like my beard is dirty to me and that I need to go wash out the food! That's a personal preference for me though! Mind you these are all based on first time uses and my opinion could change after using a few more times. Overall I do love the oils and the history behind the company name Johnnie Ray (Nate's Grandfather I believe) was a nice touch. Also I'm happy to support a fellow Michigander! 👍 Give Johnnie Ray a try! I don't think you'll be disappointed! 👊

Ok, so I don’t usually read through all the comments, but this time I did just to see if anyone else may have had the same experience with the scent I did with Clarity! I purchased this company’s products the night of the live stream and I am only now finally getting around to giving it an honest trial and judgment. Please let me know if anyone else had the same experience with Clarity that I had! So, when I first applied Johnnie Rays Clarity, like Sam, I got a strong peppermint smell from the eucalyptus. I generally do not care for strong mint smells, especially if it stays strong all day. I get it, pep is in the beginning of peppermint so it will heighten my awareness, wake me up, put some pep in my step, which I can deal with for a short period of time, but then I need to relax at some point and so does the scent. I don’t need that kind of “invigoration” all day. 😜 To my surprise, as strong as that eucalyptus was out of the gate, it quickly faded and a very nice floral came through. I WAS AMAZED!!! 😃 Whereas peppermint (or minty scents like eucalyptus) may not be my favorite scent profile, the change from mint to floral in this scent IS THE MOST EVOLVING SCENT I have experienced so far in the hundreds I have tried! 😃 (Not thousands like you Dan!) Lol! Has anyone besides myself had this dramatic of a scent evolution with Clarity, or even another scent in even a different beard product? I am curious, and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience! VERY, VERY GREAT JOB JOHNNIE RAY, & WHOMEVER MAY HAVE HELPED OR INSPIRED YOU TO CREATE THIS SCENT!!! YOU HAVE TRULY CAPTURED THAT SPA EXPERIENCE YOU WHERE TRYING TO CREATE LIKE YOU DESCRIBE IN THE PROFILE!!! Also, with the feel in beard, y’all get a 10 out of 10 stars from me!!! (I am a tough and picky judge so I don’t do 10 out of 10 often with a red and gray mixed beard, with oily skin, and a overly active lifestyle that is generally tough on a beard!) Did you find Clarity to evolve a lot in beard? I had another thought today while wearing it. The floraly, clean scent reminded me of something familiar. It was definitely triggering my scent memory, and then BAM! 💡 It reminds me of walking through a theme park! I don’t know why, but it is a really good scent memory. Maybe it’s all the plants, and fountains? Lol!

To me i agree with Dan C, sorry Sam it's not harsh but I'm sure in love with it. Smells so real nothing fake... Clarity is the other scent and like very much. I cannot say enough good about the butter, totally knocked it out of the park and game winner for my beard. I will definitely be purchasing more oils and butter from Johnnie Ray. I wonder what magic this…whatever it is…will do for my beard! Ha ha ha! 😂 Shampoos and conditioners though, forgot it, I can pronounce most of those ingredients let alone know what they are or where they come from….except water… I know what water is. 🤣
