Not the same. She put him in elimination...which means he could fight for the right to still win the money...he took drugs to stay up all night and stole her money...not the same.

@@petekaiser8856 Absolutely correct. Sarah did to Bananas what various cast planned and wanted to do for years but no one had the guts to do so except for her and what was Sarah's reward for all of this. Many fans hate her. This is a competition not give Bananas the title every time show.

I get Johnny and Cara haven’t talked, but in the Cara v laurel thing Cara is just the better person. Laurel is a real POS as a human. She’s really good but she’s a awful person. (I also don’t count her win in all stars. The eliminated people decided who won)

It is so sickening how much BS Laurel talks about Cara. While she is talking about being tired of Cara always being "a backpack" she has to pull along, Cara is always complimenting her skills. The way Laurel treats her is so Fd I absolutely hate it. Cara is an amazing competitor who has never leaned on her for anything. Cara definitely the better person and I hate that everyone is always constantly against her then blame her for " staying to herself" and "isolating". Sorry for my rant, I love Cara!!!

Oh this is 2 weeks in a row and in between episodes. Thats interesting. Are we getting a weekly Bananas post episode interview on US weekly? That would be good if we were.

So he hasn't gained any perspective on the Sarah situation. I do get the point he is trying to make, but it wasn't the right situation to make it in. The season that Sarah burned him, they may have had a necessary alliance in the game and help each other get further, but at the end of the day they are still forced to compete against each other and it was a move that made sense to make so she could beat him and win. The season where he burned her, they were teammates. They weren't competing against each other. They were competing with each other against other people. They needed each other to win, and both contributed to the win. They weren't playing against each other. They won together, and he then had the opportunity to steal her share. Making a strategic move to win vs. stealing a share of the winnings you both earned is very different. It's not what evens the score between them. In my opinion of course

I get what you’re saying. They were working as a team, but ultimately they were all playing against eachother. It came down to individual time and his time was ahead of hers. It’s great that Sarah’s standing on principle, but she should’ve just come back and won. What he did wasn’t exactly ethical, but it was allowed. It’s not a game of ethics. It would’ve been a lot cooler if she just went back on the show and kicked a** , instead of letting an unfortunate event be what she’s remembered for. She was a strong competitor.

@Glitterhead82 Listen, I get it, and I agree with you about Sarah. Yes, it was a part of the rules, and no one can argue with that, but I still disagree about them competing against each other. Yes, he had a better time, but none of that would make a difference if they didn't cross the finish line together. He needed her to cross that finish line to get any money. That's the part I can't get over. I just wish he was at least more ethical now and said that without Sarah crossing the finish line with me, I would have gotten nothing, and I should have split the money. We both earned it. In the game before, they both would need the other one not to cross the finish line or not to cross it first to win. Sarah made a competitive move to try to win. Johnny made a selfish and vengeful move after he had already won to take away for the other winner who helped get him there. She'll probably never get over it. It's probably how I feel when I lose money out of my pocket but times 10. I lost $100 bucks a couple of weeks ago, and it kills me to know I should have $100 more to my name. I could only imagine losing $125k

Can I just point, I'm watching this after s40 is well on its way, probably half way through the season. Johnny is a consummate professional when he interviews. Gives nothing away of how the season goes, now that we see how things went down. For example, knowing Paulie goes home & Johnny still talks Paulie & Cara up as a couple on the challenge or the Olivia, nurys possible follow up drama, where was none! He does not give us a clue of what happens & still gives a great interview. That's why he is arguably the most popular & known challenger. He's crossed over to mainstream.

When Bananas first started on the Challenge, he was a jerk. I was watching The Island and he was so mean to the girls and called them some nasty names. He thought he was the king of the island. It's good to see he had gotten nicer.

Funny how Sarah "deserved" what she got bc she voted him into elimination (which he still could have won) but he doesn't ever say anything about Tony or Zach. Feels like Johnny only respects good game play when it comes to male competitors....

they never should have offered the take all / get nothing option. It was 1000% percent unfair. With that said, I don't fault Ashley for taking it all in S36(?) because Hunter treated her SO horribly throughout the entire show. He was SO disrespectful and called her names and just put her down in general. I don't think they should have given them the option at all, but I don't think what Ashley did was as bad as what Bananas did. I don't think he'll ever win again frankly. Bad karma.

So in Johnny's mind two wrongs DO make a right. Anyone with morals isn't falling for his retribution excuse. Sarah wasn't on his team the previous season when she sent him into elimination. On the season he stole the money, she WAS his team and half the reason they won. No matter how many excuses he makes, it was an incredibly underhanded thing to do.

It’s called an alliance… its how the game works. Yes they were having each other’s back playing the game within the game together until she screwed him over. She even said herself afterwards that she was here to win the money not to make friends and she wasn’t sorry. They both are on the record saying “all is fair in love, war and challenges.” The Challenge is a game. He played within the rules they as a show set in place. The money was the main reason he did it and that makes sense to anyone with a brain. The show is his career. It’s a smart business decision. Imagine being on a messy game show where throwing someone into elimination is supposed to have consequences… where trust is everything within your alliance and where EVERYONE goes after the person that gets them sent home because otherwise your perceived as weak and will be targeted again… now imagine not doing anything about it and then splitting all that money next season with someone who your never gonna see outside the game… 🤡 Also everyone but you and a small group of pathetic sara loving haters agree with him. Especially those who have context and know the actual story. Not just what MTV showed that episode. JB has always played the game the way it’s meant to be played. He has always played it the same way and always acted the same. Sarah is the one which changed up and who cast the first stone. Not to mention he beat her in the final which is why he got to choose. It became a competition within teams at that point which is why they were giving the winner the money and choice to split it or not. She effed with the G.O.A.T. and got the horns. End of story. Its the most iconic moment in the 40 year show. The crime was the same just a bigger stage when Mr. 7 time did it. He is The Challenge. Keep filling that river with tears. Glad you think it’s okay to screw ppl over then call them wrong when they play the exact same card. It’s cool when you do it tho right? 😂

I know that MTV tried to start with new challengers and I’ll bet that the ratings were not that great. Those young people could not hold my attention for nothing, and I have been watching since the very first real world. I love the challenge, and I loved all these competitors from its first season two now the new people challenge I couldn’t watch it. It made me angry, because they had no characters that stood out to me at all. Glad to see the 40 years eras the only problem that I have is the very first group looks like they’re meant to not win I’m sure that older people that have watched this challenge for ever also feel the same that I do

MTV did a great job casting people for great personalities for The Real World, Road Rules, and Fresh Meat. Then you got the folks from the other MTV shows which were OK. But the newer folks are all cast for how many followers they have on social media not for the personalities and not for their brains.

A lot of things bananas thought was so funny became serious problems, example waking Tony up to sleep to confront Camilla caused him to leave. Laughing at Camilla cussing and fighting people , not so funny when she confronted Leroy with her racist comments to him. Sometimes I think you still have a lot of growing up to do.
