The funny part is that off camera she swore like a sailor. "To star in a Broadway musical and do 8 performances a week, you have to live like a f-----g nun!" And that was the least of it.

Lucille Ball swore like a sailor too. However, it was never said in public unlike today. Buch of low lives...

@@1533ramsay Another time, Merman was backstage and heard a child actor use a naughty word. She said, "Where the f--k did that kid learn to talk like that?!" It just wasn't reported.

The late, great Stephen Sondheim recalled in the HBO documentary film "Six by Sondheim" that the director of "Gypsy" tried to reign in Merman's off-stage swearing by starting a voluntary regiment where she would be forced to hand over $1 to him every time he caught her loudly uttering a foul or obscene word. Needless to say, Ethel's cooperation with the censorship ruse soon tired, forcing the prude to relent and stop punishing Merman for her colorful language.

Ethel Merman once told Lucille Ball to go fuck herself right up her butthole. It never got reported. I was there. True story.

...ETHEL...The Woman who helped KILL Disco! ...ha-HAA!! ...Disco was already waning by August 1979, but when the "Ethel Merman Disco Album" was released, it was DOA! ...but of COURSE it has become a (Gay) cult Classic, and is currently out of Print....

i dont know all that happened also her family but he trained Rivers to be a host, and who knows when. You'd think he'd be so proud of that and all the blessings like everyone else. So i hate to comment without knowing fully but he made a lot of stars inc letterman on another late night. I feel if one's going thru that its something else i guess. But another like Bette no problem so it's weird. Whether stealing jokes or monarchy or what he's a private person. Or his act i presume... hm... the whole format vs others hm...

To Ms. Ethel Merman. As you and I are a team. I expect to hear from you on those days YOU ARE SO FREAKING EXCITED that you just had MAJOR Pooh/Diarrhea and Poohed away some more of your Mortal flesh. I have no way to explain to you how bizarre it feels to know that's what's happening. Love, Don xoxo
