Thank you so much for this video. Since the house burned subsequent making of the video, this video makes it possible for viewers to imagine June, Johnny and John Carter Cash living it or themselves taking a tour of it. What a view!! Beautiful home.

Today marks John and June's 49th wedding anniversary. I'm sure they're celebrating with the angels... Two very special, and talented people gone but not forgotten. June passed on May 15th, 2003, and John soon after, on Sept.12, 2003. Rest in peace. We miss you both so much.

l used to be the Cash's pool boy many year's ago when the pool liner was BLACK. Remember the ole red Ferrari in the garage before the fire. Lot's of animals on side and across the street property. The ole security man would let me go inside of John and June's stainless steel kitchen to get a drink,then sat in their hot tub over looking Old Hickory Lake,before I refilled it after cleaning it. Brings back good memories. I would have built it back the same,and added more animals. Just being me a pole with a stripper dust dispenser by the pool playing the trains coming in!!!!!😎

I use to deliver pizza for Pizza Hut back in the day and by mistake I pulled in Johnnys driveway. The gate was open due to some people just arriving at his place. The guy in guard shack immediately approached me. He asked me what I was doing and I told him I was there to deliver pizza and he checked his list to see. I was at the wrong house. I thought to myself I’m about to get arrested for trespassing but I didn’t. I got to see Johnny and June and whoever the rest of the people were. I remember he had reindeers across the street fenced in. Me and whoever the guard laughed about it as I got escorted off the property. Marty Stuart lives down the street I seen him that day he was outside with the landscape people planting flowers. This was 20+ yrs ago. Jerry Jarrett also use to live close nearby also. RIP to all of them.

I was there just before Christmas of 2008 with my nephew. We gave serious thought to jumping the fence, with no ill intent, but we figured that our shoestring-budget trip in almost perpetually foul weather would be better without some Tennessee jail time. Roseanne has a home just outside of our town in New York. It was a shame to see the Cash home look as if nobody cared to restore it or put much effort into the groundskeeping. It looked very non-descript and depressing, to Barry Gibb's shame.

Johnny's brother Tommy and his wife Marcy truly are wonderful people, and their family is an inspiration- so loving and strong and truly advocates for so many up until this day even. So to the few posts that I read that are commenting such harsh things as the Cash children wanting to sell the house just for money and greed, I take offense to that. There's so much more than that the public does not know or just in what the public is even told,really.
@jerriemorales4484 жыл бұрын
I would think the home went to his children not his siblings right?
@GirlMomma4 жыл бұрын
@@jerriemorales448 I haven't specifically asked Tommy or Marcy that question, but I don't think he did.I know he left his kids the money, but there was a big feud over that. I do know that the house was bought by Barry Gibbs in 2005 and it was being redone and a lot of Johnny and June's furniture was still in it. However when they were redoing the floors, a painter accidentally set it, and all the artifacts on fire and it is now no longer standing. ☹️ The property is still there and you can see where the house once did stand. Last I heard was that they were going to make a children's home on the property or some type of group home. Fun fact: Johnny and June are buried in Hendersonville memorial gardens which is right outside of our neighborhood, we pass by them everyday. One time as I was passing by there, there was a bunch of guys standing around their graves; So I went to see what they were doing and they had traveled 800 plus miles off of their road trip because they heard Johnny and June were buried here. They had a portable amp, their guitars and I don't remember what other musical instruments, but they were all singing his songs around his grave. It was beautiful!
