Since you are listening to this, you need to listen Disturbed doing sound of silence live on Conan. The Johnny Cash video and distrubed both resulted in the original song performer’s effectively handing the song over to the people that covered it.

June died shortly after and then he did. His oldest daughter Roseanne Cash wrote her personal goodbye song to him so "September When It Comes" is probably his last recording. That one was after June died.
