Before you see pablo was more interested in business he comes across as a ruthless man which he was both but Johnny depp played being very terrified so well
@corporatecat230 Жыл бұрын
I agree, but it's always a good rule of thumb to note that whatever Hollywood portrays in terms of a gangster's violence, it's usually nine times what the movie shows in terms of ruthlessness.

My uncle was connected to him in the 1970s in California. Had a place in the Hollywood hills filled with money. Rented an old church in Malibu to cut the cocaine. He said they had so much of it there was a permanent cocaine cloud and anyone who walked inside for more than a minute or two got high just from the air. It got to the point it wasn't even worth cutting anymore, they just sold it pure because they didn't want the hassle. He was making close to $500k a week. Eventually he got busted around the time they all did. Went away for a few years but got out and got back into trouble again and skipped bail. To the day he died in 2015 he couldn't return to the state of California.

Exactly. My dad always told me that whether you end up dead or in prison for 40 years, it never ends well. If you go down a life of organized crime. Never. Even Myer Lansky and lucky Luciano died in near poverty in comparison to what they once possessed.

I thought so too. It's probably because we're so used to seeing him as the larger-than-life focal point like he is in Narcos, and not merely a side character like he is in this movie. He isn't seen or really even addressed after this, which makes me think this scene was all just for a quick example of how ruthless Pablo was, and that doing business with him was a very serious matter that George was getting himself into.
