I watched that vulture movie long time ago it was really good. Love gangster movies. Johnny Depp is really good at what he does. Like him as an actor. Inspiring person. Like the character. I'm pretty sure it's based on a true story. Based on a true story you know he the gangster yes yes

logistically they cast this film perfectly. It's a stereotype that most people have red hair & pale skin with Irish roots - most people in Ireland look like Dakota, dark brown hair & beaming blue eyes. Also Julianne being from Medford also having dark brown hair & beautiful blue eyes with Irish heritage. The whole logline of the story is they all are kids or grandkids of Irish catholic immigrants apart from a few folk in the story.

Depp doesn't think it was just another gangster movie? He played in two other true life gangster movies before that too Donnie Brasco and Public Enemies Italian or Irish etc. I don't think that matters much culturally a gangster is a gangster. Boston has lots of Irish though. I guess they just like to dehumanize the villains that's not uncommon
