Interesting -- watching this after Johnny won the verdict in the Virginia trial... in this video, while they're driving around, whenever he sees a bunch of people, he says "those are my relatives". Remembering when he would step into court every morning and wave to the crowd, he would turn to the cameramen and say "those are all my relatives"! It's just something that's heartwarming, knowing that he's said that for years and years and it wasn't just specifically for the trial! 💜
@NataMessi
@NataMessi Жыл бұрын
Exactly, he actually has always been saying it, over the years! In early 2000s , all the way through. So nothing he was saying in trial was specifically for the trial. If you watch interviews in different points of time, he has been super consistent in his answers, his views on ambitions, Hollywood, fame, values , and all. Because all of it is authentic :)

He was with Winona at the time. Of course he felt more comfortable during this interview. Winona gave him calm, she kept him cool like Tim burton said. All of his interview before 1993, he looked more happy. It’s a shame that they split, they knew they loved each other but the media was just causing so much drama.

í kept thinking surely someone else has this and will upload it? It was such a cool idea for a TV show in those days, and í knew at the time it was a special thing. 30 {!} years on, it's even more so, with the added element of capturing an era & place long gone {that Sunset block is set to be torn down for some hideous apartments}. Sadly, í never thought to tape it at the time of broadcast, and always regretted it as my admiration for Johnny Depp grew. A year or so after the show í was desperate to see it again and to see if it was as good as í remembered. í wrote a LETTER! to Channel X, Ross' then production company, requesting a VHS copy. To my surprise & delight a video tape cassette arrived a month or so later. Not as great quality as í'd expected {it had been rush recorded over a 1990 Ross doc on David Lynch!} but at least í posessed it. FFWD 27 years to Covid Lockdown #1, alone in the house, í finally get around to digitising the tape, and seeing as how the 21st century Google World seems barely even aware of this JD '90s TV gold, let alone able to screen a copy, í felt my Depp duty to shove it online...

What Americans lead the way? It started with Jack the Ripper and that other chick who was also a serial killer I think was there. But there were a ton of other serial killers in the uk. It’s just an extremely tiny nation so of course there won’t be as many. Also possibly the most prolific serial killer of all time was British Harold shipmen, and Lucy Letby was just caught in the uk for killing seven infants. I mean come on, I know British people always want to slam Americans but make it make sense at least for once.
