What a banger. A mix of soul, Motown and heartland rock. I saw JD& I at Festival Hall in Brisbane in the late 80's and it was a great show. Bands back then were real tour dogs. They lived on the road until they crashed through or crashed.

He wrote that line all those years ago but fast forward to 2020 and he loved a lockdown as much as the rest of them and never spoke out against them. To find an artist that did I had to look hard and it was Tina Arena, the only dissenting Australian artist out there who spoke up.

Had the tape in the early 90s. Took it to Europe. People were absolutely crazy about the blues-rock sound. Johnny should have stayed with The Injectors. Much better than what he later released ;)

Deisel sounded way better with the injectors that in his solo career, he rocked way harder with the band behind him
@TheMorningtrain2 жыл бұрын
I like him solo, but I tend to agree his best work was with the band in this harder rockier version of things. The whole album is perfection and I wish he had released more albums in this style. I’ve always felt a bit short changed we didn’t get more of these type of songs with the harder edge to them

@@TheMorningtrain Now that I am not to sure on? But Old Johnny (Mark) said that they were never a serious band . He thinks pretty darn highly of himself .

@@michaelmarshall1713 he may well think highly of himself. And they may indeed not have been a serious band. Bands break up all the time. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and suspend judgement on whether he just dumped them and moved on. Because I don't know. What I will say is this though - it would be hard to sustain a long career playing songs of the Injectors ilk. and perhaps like any serious artist he wanted to explore other sounds the other guys in the band didn't. It happens.
