My mom used to live in their neighborhood. She said sometimes they would get up on their garage and play. She also sold tickets to their shows when they played at the local theater. Years later she and I bumped into Johnny when he came home to visit his mom. We were at the Holiday Inn seeing a friends band. Johnny got invited up and played for 3 hours. Great person and one hell of a guitar player.

I don't even know how many times I've seen Johnny Winter live. First time was in '73. I've seen Edgar a few times including the Together show. Johnny could hardly even stand during that show. I saw him deteriorate & could hardly play. Then saw him recover & back on top performing. If he came to town, I was there.

… in 76’’, my brother, aged 17, bought me this album for my 12th birthday, my sisters 15 & 16 got me both 76’, David Cassidy albums. I am so grateful for being taken to an early David Cassidy concert at DAR Constitution Hall in DC, he was really something. As well, taken to several Johnny & Edgar Winter shows before I could drive, the Winter brother’s re formulated my taste in music at a very early age. Long live the Kings of cool.

I've owned their "Together Live" album on vinyl no less than 3 different times in my life. I still have the album to this very day and still listen to it regularly and often. Their versions of "You've Lost That Loving Feeling" and "Baby Whatcha Want Me To Do" on that album are both impeccable. We definitely lost one of the last true blues guitar giants when Johnny passed in 2014.
