Now what would be really great if someone could find some video or live recordings of Johnny during the 3rd set at a Salty Dog gig from 1986! Had the honor of working with the man from 86-87 while he was in Kivetsky. As awesome as he sounds on this, his tone must be heard LIVE. GUMBY ROCKS!!!! thanks for posting this.

I put this album ( Gale Force ) out on Guitar Recordings. When I first heard this song, I said , "Johnny you have to play more guitar on here. " I believe originally there was a sax solo on this track. The sax solo is gone and we got more of that great tone, phrasing and mean melodic note choice that JG delivers like no one else. I played "Daddy Long Legs" for Warren Haynes and here is his response. "When I first heard this I thought it was Clapton. He is playing more aggressively then Eric plays these days but it is so reminiscent of old Clapton. Cream era Clapton but with his later tones, with the Strat tone. Gales plays his ass off. He pays homage to a few different people, but he’s a very confident, very aggressive in your face guitar player. He’s very reminiscent of old Clapton. Clapton was my first guitar hero." - Warren Haynes

You can still find it on Amazon, possibly from a third part seller there. Also, Ebay and Musicstack are good places. It's worth the price of admission! Let me know if you can't find it. I am sure I can help.
