Even as a Stars fan, I'm glad I had this pop up in my recommended. We all miss Johnny Hockey. Dude was an absolute beast, and he was one of my favorite players to watch. He was one of the most exciting offensive weapons I've ever watched. Such a damn shame I never got to see him live. Rest in peace Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau.

Heartbreaking indeed. I was blessed to see him live when he was with the CBJ last season. Was cheering on my Oilers. If I stand correct it was when Oilers made history on that 16th game win streak. I saw Johnny get robbed by my Skinner on a breakaway. He will surely be missed

I’m gonna be rewatching this video for a long time. I haven’t been able to stop watching clips since he and Matthew died, I wasn’t expecting it to hit me this hard. This moment was it, the happiest I’ve been as a fan. Wish I could’ve been at the dome, but celebrating with a European flames fan at a bar in the northeast was special too. I keep walking down to the memorial by the dome. I’m glad what I’m feeling is mutual with not just Calgarians but from people everywhere. Edmontonians included. And I’m glad Matthew is getting the recognition he deserves too, both gone way way too soon because some asshat chose to drink and drive. Thank you for uploading this, I was looking for crowd videos for a long time

I can't stop thinking about it. I'm a Leafs fan not a Flames fan but this is hitting me harder than I thought it would, living in Calgary I've been to many Games while he was a part of the team and have been honored to watch him and what he brought for the Flames and the City of Calgary. He loved playing in front of the C of Red and I personally believe he never wanted to leave. I hope he joins the many Hockey Legends who have left us, and hope the Flames raise his 13 up to the rafters.
@jsquared10133 ай бұрын
@@NHLlivegoals from what I read, the primary reason he left Calgary was so he could live closer to the other members of his family (parents and siblings). Says a lot about the person he was off the ice, in addition to what we all could see on the ice. RIP Johnny and Matt Gaudreau. I'm not a Flames or CBJ fan, but I do hope both teams raise his 13 to the rafters.

I don't enjoy watching things like this. It makes me upset knowing someone's life was taken away from them and knowing that the person who did this will get off the hook lightly. This should be life in prison. DUIs need to be enforced with an even greater penalty to lessen the chances of this from happening again. Criminal justice system is a joke.

I always thought that videos filmed in HD shouldn't contain dead people, because I tend to associate the dead with things from the past. But one thing that I've learned from this is that videos filmed in the past, regardless of when they were filmed, are filmed in the past. There are probably a few fans in this video that passed, as time does to people, but here and now we focus on Johnny Hockey. A life taken too soon by a man who should have his driving and military privileges revoked. He, and the bar that gave him the alcohol, should be punished for a long time.
