His playing and tone on Headmaster Ritual are jaw droppingly good. Holy crap. It sounds just like the album, and it's not easy singing and playing that at the same time. I'm so glad Johnny is getting some recognition these days. His playing is absolutely legendary.

Saw him play a show in May 2019 in Huntington, NY. My buddy is a huge Smiths fan so we went for his birthday. Got there a bit early so we could be next to the stage. He played an awesome show. Afterwards, we went around to the back of the venue and there were a couple of people waiting. He came out and spent a lot of time taking pictures and talking with everybody. My buddy got to tell Johnny that he was the inspiration for his learning the guitar. He signed our albums too. Awesome, down to Earth dude.
