One month earlier on July 12th it entered Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart; eventually it peaked at #22 and spent 10 weeks on the Top 100 chart... Ten years earlier on May 29th, 1965 the Beach Boys' original version reached #1 {for 2 weeks} with Al Jardine singing lead for the 1st time... R.I.P. Dennis, Carl, and Mr. Clark...

I dont think this better than the Beach Boys, it does have great evergy and is different though. Strange partial bridge coming out of the lead verse. I like it, gave me goose bumps just like the original. I think it was just a bit too soon to cover an already basiclly perfect song at that time. Oh well, my 2 cents.
