Realization was probably one of the finest albums ever recorded. Johnny Rivers could sing almost any song and make it better than most.

Thank you Scott McKenzie for writing this song so our Brother Johnny could adapt it to be included with all the other "spiritual sounds" on that Masterpiece he named "Realization"

Has much more meaning today than when it had back then. The world is in a state of delusion.

"sleeping on a feather bed of lies" has an entirely different meaning now Jane, as you know. The entire song has more meaning now, I absolutely love singing this Masterpiece, "you want know yourself, when you finally do", they don' t write um like this anymore. ♥️

I love my music today's so much variety,But I just fold in two & weep to this Lp. Johnny has always made a sobering,humbling feeling inside. I was very Young ahead of my time to recognize music than my same aged peers. This is good & still works for me when I think I need to step back & account for my life did I live it the way I truly wanted? Todd

Just so beautiful ! The whole album is great ! Takes me back to my days in Broadway Court 1975 & onwards when I learned to really "get INTO the music" ! How, you may ask... Just like brian Wilson of te Beach Boys advises.... put all the lights off, so as not to allow yourself to be distracted from the music, put headphones on & slip INTO the groove. Try it, you too may learn what "Getting INTO the music" is all about ! :D

Until I heard this forty years ago, I thought the only song Scott McKenzie wrote was San Francisco. This song is much better than that. It gets better as it gets older.
@briantimmons30445 жыл бұрын
Scott McKenzie didn't write San Francisco John Philips of the Mamas and Papas wrote because Mama Cass said so when she introduced him and the song as the Monterey Pop Festival but i stlll love this song,Johnny Rivers and this whole album

He is the best doctor of the healthy and wholesome healing in this mean world. Oh I drift around , but he mKES ME FEEL LIKE i HAVE BEEN TO A GRACEFUL, Church, no pretensions, we are all sinners. JR no doubt has grown into this role of TAKING THE RESPONSIBILITY of keeping the nasty out of his music, and Dylan I believe felt it both being "brothers" with the crooning soulful vibe. No tricks. No gutter trash...... Both men refuse to be branded and provide such diversity, rearely disappointed, only good disciples. Lastly- Rivers Voice. Really listen to the minute' subtleties- almist like a song-bird in creole land lol.
