He's right, it's happening everywhere. Buildings with history, things that would stand a thousand years if you let them - replaced by some shitawful pile of glass and aluminium that looks like a cat's vomited it up. They'll stand 20, maybe 30 years and then be replaced by some other soulless kak. Even when I come across modern architecture I don't mind, it has a place - and that place isn't the centre of London, or any other city.

When I told him it was Lloyd Cole and the Commotions he simply replied " C***." Knowing him to be a secret Krautrock fan, I said " Well, they haven't got any Can." This is great. Its like an unintentional sequel to "The Great Rock And Roll Swindle". Always been a Johnny fan since 77. I agree a lot with him except the cigarettes. Ha.

Oh my gosh I love this man so much! Johnny rotten Johnny Lydon... Some people would be offended by the words he uses in the way he comes off the people but I completely understand what he means and I'm grateful to have been able to see this for the 1st time today. I lived in London in 2009 when they were building up a bunch of krapp around kings cross and I was disappointed then at the new buildings specially the one that looks like a vibrator! I went there for history stayed in the midlands West Midlands and had the time of my life. At least there most of the history is still nearby though they're building that up to. Said that

Edward Bliss Yessss and Johnny Rotthen aka John Lydon is sooo right:All this modern shit in London makes me angry too,because I was in London in the middle of the 80s & in the beginning of the 90s very often.The old London with Tower Bridge,Big Ben and much,much more of London was fantastic!!!!!Johnny say it right and a big good smile for that,Johnny: at 17:39 What they done to these town?It´s kill the culture,we know that is an alien object (that what I understand) when they showed the ugly new buildings and he said:Another 100 Years?No chance of it..!!! I hope it and when he said:Blow it up(sorry for my english) ,I totally agree with him. We need loads of another Sex Pistol moments;-))

I think this was about 12 yrs ago, my god how London has changed now. I moved out of London 20 yrs ago. It's like landing on another planet when I go back now, unrecognisable place, sad.
@dazauto14004 жыл бұрын
This was filmed in 2006. I saw an evening standard advert for Paul McCartney /Heather Mills Court case so that dates it.
@fraggit4 жыл бұрын
@@dazauto1400 That's how I dated it, with Evening Standard headlines. I think the McCartney/Mills headline is a bit misleading because their spat went on for years, but if you check the other Evening Standard headlines dotted about, it points to 2008. Also this video comes from the Sex Pistols "There'll always be an England" concert film from 2008 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/There%27ll_Always_Be_an_England_(film) Now that doesn't categorically define the year Lydon was on the open top bus, but I think the other Evening Standard headlines do. At the end of the day, whichever year it was, what's two years between fellow commentators :)

@@Isleofskye I was born in the mid 60's. Don't get me wrong, I loved London, working and growing up in the 70's, 80's and 90's, but I kinda grew out of it. To be fair, lots of cities in the UK have changed over nearly 20 yrs. I moved to the Isle of Man in 2002. My kids were under 5 and a job came up, so my wife and I thought, why not.
