Johnny Silverhand gives V his body back

For everyone who's wondering why V is mad at Johnny for giving the body back, I think it's because V truly started to care for Johnny as Johnny did for him, especially since they were pretty much one in the same. I think V wanted Johnny to live the rest of his life in his body to save him instead in the end in this specific ending.

Not the actual reason. Johnny Silverhand, relentless rocker boy, finally had no more fight left. She expected him to at least try to fight back but he never did. All he ever really did was just smile and did the one thing that Alt said he was incapable of doing 50yrs ago.

this is my favourite ending. i think somewhere along the line, v didnt want johnny out of his body but to stop the relic from malfunctioning. they really did become friends in the end and v didn't want him to 'die'

This is my favorite iteration of this specific scene. I get closure that Johnny 100% ok with dying, and we know that V lives on as a legend.

It feels bitter. once i was just V, it feels empty without johnny. Plus shes going to die anyways? I get happy endings are cliche, but loosing johnny, V dying and getting broken up with is just a sad painful ending

I tried to give V her body back (female V) she just slowly grabbed Johnny's hand and told Johnny" Don't forget me " and then saying I don't want you dead. Really meaning she wants Johnny to have the body...watered my eyes and went to the well against my own wishes as the player, but I did it for V...

I wish there could’ve been a thing where you can somehow get Johnny’s body back and have them both be put in/keep their own body and win ig in the end, while also being best buds till the ends of their days because it’s either, - I feel horrible for killing off Johnny and I horribly miss having that voice in my head. OR - I feel bad for stealing V’s body while also feeling bad for Johnny because he’s left in this world that hates him for taking V’s body and he’s in a body he didn’t want to be in since V most likely ends up becoming his friend.

@@CaptBirdy It's worse than just killing him. Death means id, ego and superego all went away at once, which is already accepted by human, or any animals, if they are capable of discussing such topic. "Being absorbed" by Alt, means his ego is learned and taken away by Alt, and his id is just, thrown away, dumped into nowhere, and since ego is transformed, Johnny's superego has fallen to void, cause there's no ego to support his superego. Besides, all of this is just for Alt's greater power as AI (and later used on attacking the black wall , in order to take over human society). That's just like Hitler claimed that he had taken away German people's id and replace them with "German" id. The only difference is that, Hitler was not able to entirely get rid of people's id. Just by changing the social condition, it's very easy to recover their id. Those ids were only buried and suppressed by the "German" id. But what Alt can do is absolute, because Johnny is digitalized (although he still want to be a human). That's what makes any one of the choices is sad. You have to let one of the characters be dehumanized and that's all on the players choice. Unless you hate one of them :p

It really does seem a more fitting reaction of V to beat and yell at him for TAKING his body, not giving it back. Though I guess you can still get pissed cause there’s no point in going back if your doomed to die and your friend can live his life and your friend chose for you to go back instead of themselves Edit: Yup just saw another video where V acted differently I’m assuming it’s according to your relationship with Johnny, promise to take bullet and have a good relationship with him V will want to stay, have a bad one and say you’ll look out for yourself and V would want to go back to his/her body

The coolest thing about this scene is that I was wearing David Martinez’s coat while doing this and looked exactly like him it was like they both met in cyber space

It really seems like a bug, since V says "I'm in, you're out." Really sounds like this reaction is when Johnny tries to take V's body when the plan was the opposite. Also sounds more rageful than it should be at this level, because I had the same dialogue and I treated Johnny as a human, not just a construct, so they got along better.

From what I can understand, V has taken on a lot of Johnny's hot-blooded nature. Also when you're fighting for survival and are basically 2 people at the same time, especially in this situation neither of you wants to die or have to be responsible for the other. As far as I can tell, they both want to save each other. MAYBE in future DLC with this game, it could open up the possibilities of new endings

Seeing v get violent with Johnny over it caught me off guard, because he didn’t do that in my ending. He just felt remorseful towards johnny and said he was glad they met. I think it has something to do with the relationship between the two of them, affecting the dialogue.

Because Johnny Silverhand is going to some weird digital heaven with Alt instead of just trying to survive, V sees that as him dying all over again, both a part of him and his best friend.

The way I see it is that V is pissed mainly because he probably cared about Johnny and in the situation they were in, but from v’s perspective, him going back to his body is lose lose, he either way dies in 6 months and Johnny goes with alt so at the end they both end up dead

A lot of people still confused as to why V is angry here. The reason is is that while V initially is distraught and thinks this has been Alt and Johnny's plan all along, he realises it wasn't and comes to terms with the reality of it with the "Seeing as I'm doomed to die, we stick to the plan I gave you - I leave, you stay. Keys to my body are yours." Then when he sees Johnny walking to the bridge his thought process is "Dude wtf, you have a free pass at a new life and you're throwing it away so I can have another 6 months?" Essentially V is saying he wants to sacrifice himself for Johnny, but like Alt says it's Johnny's decision seeing as he has the body at the moment, V can't make him choose anything and so instead he tries to make Johnny pissed off at him so he changes his mind and stays in V's body. That's why the last line V shows his true feelings when he realises nothing will change Johnny's mind with the "Promise me one thing, you won't forget me." It's the ultimate bro ending as far as I'm concerned. * POTENTIAL SPOILERS And hey, if it's true that Mr Blue Eyes is actually an AI controlled human and part of an AI organisation, could be the best ending where V actually gets some incredibly advanced assistance with his issue. I mean the guy is basically this game's Gaunter O'Dimm, with getting mentioned and popping up at different parts of the game, having NPCs mention him in convo, showing up in various scenes, knowing about the relic etc. I personally don't doubt the capabilities of a promise from him.

thanks for the upload, I wanted V to get back his body, but I had to reload many times because Johnny ended up taking over. The dialogue options are not straight forward, as if the developers you to have the Johnny takes over V's body ending. I wanted the opposite, for V to return and live out his final days. When V got angry as I approached the bridge, I thought I made a mistake, but that is the way to do it. Thanks for your video tp show how to do this!

@@xxfalconxx3990 If you want to keep your physical body, go back to earth, go down the well, it's the area where you sit down to talk with Johnny. If you go fall off the edge of the platform where the bright light is, that means you will join the AI lady Alt and be forever a digital entity. The rule is jumping off the ledge near the bright means no return to body.

I think the cannon ending should be they storm arasaka tower theough the front door( dont fear the reaper) then at the last minute johnny forces v to take the pill taking control, saying he knew v would do something stupid then gives v the body.

I have no idea, probably isn’t a confirmed cannon ending until we get a sequel
