first time it is being released digitally and also on an upcoming CD

As a huge Johnny Tillotson fan, I always in my humble opinion have considered my three favourite rock n roll singers as Elvis, Ricky Nelson and Johnny Tillotson. each of them with unique voices, and could sing any type of song. I was so lucky over the years to have seen Johnny in person a number of times here in Toronto, Ontario. Johnny has an exceptional singing voice. I met him once at one of his concerts and when he was right in front of me I was speechless, thinking I might be interrupting him and never got to talk to him, I regret my shyness to say hello to him. I hope Johnny is in Good health, always a fan, Barry Mississauga, Ontario Canada.

WHEN I BOUGHT THIS 45 RPM SINGLE UPON ITS RELEASE, I WAS ATTENDING DALLAS COUNTY JUNIOR COLLEGE IN MY HOMETOWN OF DALLAS, TEXAS AND WAS 23 YEARS OLD. I AM NOW 77. I CANNOT RECALL IF I HEARD THIS ON THE RADIO OR JUST GOT LUCKY FINDING IT IN A BIN IN A MUSIC STORE, AS I DON'T THINK THE RECORD EVEN CHARTED, AND IT CERTAINLY GOT LITTLE PLAY ON THE RADIO. I WAS BITTERLY DISAPPOINTED, THINKING IT HAD AT LEAST TOP 40 POTENTIAL. (THE ORIGINAL 45 HAD MORE REVERB THAN THIS. I MISS THE REVERB. BUT OF COURSE I AM SO VERY HAPPY THAT THIS WAS POSTED.🌠😊😁👍👏😃🌠) THANKS.

While I would prefer to have a clean copy of the actual 45 version, it is nice to get any copy of this song off of a tape source. I do think the intro vocals during the verse were double tracked on the 45, which is another reason this sounds a little different.

IF ANYONE DESERVED BEING INFORMED OF THIS POST, IT WAS A LOYAL, ULTRA-DEVOTED MEGA-FAN LIKE YOU WHO HELPS KEEP HIS MUSIC AVAILABLE THROUGH YOU TUBE. UNFORTUNATELY I NEVER MET MR. TILLOTSON OR SAW HIM PERFORM. "JIMMY'S GIRL" WAS THE FIRST RECORDING I RECALL HEARING BY HIM, OVER THE RADIO. WHAT A GORGEOUS, HEART-MELTING, ROMANTIC, FANTASIZING TEEN ANGST SONG THAT WAS!
