Like so many other people, I started watching real-life figure skating because of Yuri On Ice. Started with Yuzuru Hanyu because I'd heard of him from the Sochi Olympics, and from there discovered Yulia Lipnitskaya and Johnny Weir, and can't wait to discover more about the world of figure skating. However, this was the first performance I've watched which has truly taken my breath away and which I haven't enjoyed only because I've noticed similarities with different aspects of Yuri On Ice. The show never even crossed my mind while I was watching this, and now I can't wait to dive into Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov's work as well as watch more of Johnny's performances. I think this is the performance which has flipped the switch in my brain from "this is cool because of xyz in YOI" to "oh my god this is stunning I must watch this person's entire performance history right now immediately".

For a person who grew up in the days of torville and dean, I've never seen anyone to equal their talent and mastery of the ice apart from John curry who was an amazing dancer as well as ice dancer , but Johnny weir is the most perfect ice dancer I've seen in years , the other two skate rare beautiful to watch ,fabulous xx

Stunning! Absolutely gorgeous! Would love to see more programs like this. I'm not familiar with ice dancing but the pair were beautiful and Johnny was wonderful as always. And yes, judges need to take note, too. It isn't all about the jumps.
