@Duchessclotho Aha, you've forgotten Phillipe Candeloro, and his shirt stripping! As with Weir, he flaunted his sex appeal more in exhibitions than in competition. A few other male skaters were regarded as quite sexy even if it was more their persona and looks than in their skating (remember the way many women and girls would scream even seeing Elvis Stojko or Paul Wylie, who had sex appeal even though they weren't overtly sexy in their skating style. See, I have been watching for years too!

@Duchessclotho So when you say "we" you're not speaking for everyone... you should have heard the comments I heard just waiting in line for the restroom at skating shows in the 90s... sheesh! So YOU admired them for their skill but not sexiness then, but some fans.... believe you me. My, oh, my. And sometimes, it was about their skating moves and bodies... again, even when they weren't being overt.

It started with "You've got to be kidding me". Sorry in regular conversation that causes a person to become defensive; add typing to that and it is more so.
