He deserved bronze, maybe. If it was judged off the long program alone, then he definately desrved bronze. But just because Plushenko's a whiny bitch doesn't mean he didn't earn silver.

Johnny made it worse for himself, NOT the media. In the year leading up to the 2010 Olympics, Johnny Weir's public personality totally changed. Instead of the shy, unassuming skater he used to be, he became intentionally provocative and in-your-face in many of his media appearances. I was so surprised at how he would trash-talk about Evan when he'd never done that before. He was also bringing his sexuality into the conversation a lot when it really had nothing to do with skating, almost like he felt he needed to prove something. I've always felt that had Johnny not made the drastic behavior change going into the 2010 Olympics and just focused on his skating, he would have won the bronze medal. I believe it was his behavior that created a public relations problem for him and hurt him with the judges.
