Living in New York and then coming to the south is a big difference The north( New York ) they have their own style and just go with the flow and wear what ever they want ... Then you come to the south ( va, nc ) it's more like a uniform... everyone (not exactly everyone but the majority) wear the same clothes ( name brand or same style ) if you don't have that name or style it's like oh you're bama.. a south phrase they use for your clothes... very sad and weird about the south in the 90s early 2000s ... people are very highly concern about what you have on.... not too say northerners are not the same but the ratio is extremely high in the south from my experience...
