It's crazy how "The Witches Road" can no longer be considered a myth because if Billy did indeed only close the door to the road and not destroy it during the last episode, then that would mean any coven that sings the ballad would now be able to open it since like his mother's magic, Billy's magic can also be on autopilot considering he didn't even know that he made it until he got out.

In the early script she was gonna sacrifice herself first but the executives changed it.

Nah she needed him to volunteer then Rio couldn't come for her. She took a gamble that would help her come back as a ghost. If she gave in too easily Rio would have figured out the plan. The only lie she tells Billy is the road exists and that they need a coven to reach it. After that she might be vague but she never directly lies to him.

She had to let Billy offer himself so her end of the bargain with Rio would be upheld, forcing Rio to uphold her own end and not show her face to Agatha when she dies, a.k.a. she doesn't reap Agatha which lets her stay as a ghost. That was Agatha's 'calculated risk' she says she took. I'm assuming Rio also didn't reap Agatha's mother but that was just Rio's choice because she hated her and left her on Earth as a ghost lmao.

This twist was really masterful. I really didn’t see it coming. The whole time Agatha was telling Billy, he’s just like his mother, you thought she was talking about some personality quirk but it was really about him creating an alternate reality just like she did.

Watching it back. I think Agatha said, "SAY IT LIKE YOU MEAN IT." She obviously knew the road wasn't real. She was helping Jen. Just like she did with Billy

Yes, I definitely read that scene that way. She had nothing against Jen, but Jen had to reclaim her power, Agatha likely couldn't just give it back. As we've already seen a bit and definitely see in the next episode, Agatha is well experienced at provoking people.

Also when she yelled at Billy about finding the next trial, she doesn't want Billy to subconsciously construct another trial so she can finally deliver him to Rio, but too late.

The twist at the end completely took me by surprise, but like the last episode the hints were there all along but we just didn't see them till we were shown! All the costumes are amazing in this episode!!! The look of Death was both beautiful and haunting the way they blended Plaza's face with the skull!

The evidence was substantial, but I kept myself skeptical cause I've been burned by telling clues that went nowhere before. Also rewatching Death yell 'YOU LOVE ME!!", I can't help but go "Yeah but she's no longer IN love with you, you sought to that ages ago".
