@@victorcamargo7926 ok lets say you are loading 10 rubber bands. Load the 1st rubber band on to the plastic star wheel on the back and rotate it back then load the next one and again rotate it back. Keep loading until the ninth(or next to last) rubber band, load this one on to the wheel the same as the others but DON'T rotate the wheel back. The last one you load on to the top middle wooden hook(bolt).

Actually I'm glad you mentioned that. I ordered a Halo Mega Bloks today and accidentally ordered two of them. Rather than returning the second I was planning to give one to my son, who is leaving for college in two weeks. Both of our birthdays are in September. He can do his at college. I'll do mine at home. Probably the first co-op game we ever played together was Halo. So it's fitting we both do this Halo model. Sorry if that story was too long. Your mention of your Dad giving you this model made me think of it. It's nice to share hobbies.

Thank you so much for this. Mine didn’t come with instructions so this helped and I know to to get is to work. You need to put the rubber band on the brown spinning part at the back then rack the bold at you and I should go in that post that sticks up. After you do that check to make sure your safety is off and pull the trigger. If that is not working tell me when it gets stuck

Spin the moving parts by hand, applying wax to the areas that you can reach as they pass by. Once the parts are all waxed up, try again.

I just built this with u on total of the trigger towards the boy of the gun ther is a lever we fixed so if it face downwards it’s on safety mode you got to pull it upwards to not lock the lever also one rubber band should be in the top moving part and another on an axel for it to worl

It took me 7 hours to build, and at the very end I broke the front catch that holds the magazine like an idiot. Instead of sanding it, I tried to force it into place and it snapped off. Now I don't know what to do. I really don't want to take it all apart and order a replacement because it's part of one of the first pieces you build.

It does not come with wax for those that are not in US because it cannot be transportes. Just buy usual candels as they recommended me to do :)

Currently doing this build, up to F8 in step 1. im confused whether youre supposed to polish the entire piece with sandpaper or just where the wax is applied, i see you skipped over it

There's two grooves at that section that should be waxed as they will have moving parts in them at some point. I wouldn't wax anything besides those two grooves at that section. For example, there are some pins/tabs at that same point in the instruction. Those are going to hold in place by tension and friction. Waxing those would make it susceptible to come loose. Moving parts, access points to moving parts, gears and circles are all things to wax. Tabs and pins and other wood connectors don't wax. I hope that helps, tough to explain in text.

You can use a tea candle. If you operate without wax things might smooth out over time or they might dislodge before smoothing out. Better to add wax if possible.

oh yes, that, and the final round should be hooked on the buffer hook. The chuck at the back is to hook every round except the last one

the screws need to be screwed in the wood is soft so it makes it's own threads, otherwise the peace that is just pushed in with the two pieces E& and E7 get pulled on will come off so all screws need to be screwed in for support.

For some reason when doing the first test. The first shot fires fine off the buffer hook but the slide doesn’t slide back far enough to spin the chuck. Very weird I’ve taken it apart several times and can see no reason why this would be happening? Any pointers? Cheers

Check the firing mode, that it is clearly in one position or another.

@@Johnrap it’s definitely not the firing mode. The slide very nearly touches the plastic for the spin Chuck but just falls short by a very small amount so I have to pull it back manually by about 2mm. It’s like there’s something blocking it or slowing the slide down. Very weird I am stumped.

@@Johnrap I have just noticed if I have it on automatic firing mode the test works. Even got it to work once on single fire but now it just get jammed again just before it hits the band wheel. Very strange, guess I’ll just have to use it in automatic mode..

@@donovan5409 Sorry. None of these puzzles are perfect, but the wooden ones have some extra issues if not sanded and waxed completely. Or even some no fault problems like heat and humidity causing wood to swell. Tinkering might help. It might not. It's hard to say. Nerf guns are more reliable. Though they don't last forever either.

I didnt see the hole video, of course, but I could spot an error at 10 hours and 42 minutes, assembling the clip, for example, the bottom piece is the one with the hole, you did it wrong... Just check the right side image on the instructions... I guess there will be other mistakes, cause that mistake is really obvious and really easy to spot. Piece A32 is first!!! Wake up dude! lol

Yes. I am known for being very slow at these sort of puzzles. My vision isn't good, so I often have to work by touch, not sight. Plus my hands are really big compared to the pieces, which often makes it tough to work in small areas. Plus I'm commenting while I'm putting them together, which probably doubles the time right there. But, yes, 99% of people will be able to assemble these models quicker than me.

It's not easy, but I follow certain rules: no music, no raising voice, slow talking speed, limited explanations of what's going on. Add it all up and you should fall asleep within 10 or 20 minutes of tuning in every time. Then I compile the videos to be 10+ hours long, so that if you do wake up in the middle of the night you can easily fall back asleep.

Yes. That is true. I've been at this 15 months now. I like to believe that I learn a little each model. Perhaps some day I will know what I am doing. However, at this point, I am far away. Probably 5-10 years away from basic competency. What happens after that? Let's see. I'm only 50 years old now. Perhaps by the time I'm 70 or so, I will get the hang of model building. Not yet, of course, far from it now, but in the future, maybe, perhaps. But maybe not. I've learned some things in life, like sports, computer programming and a few other things. But some things I'm still miles away on. For example, small talk and dancing, just as two examples. I have no idea what's going on in those areas. I'm tempted to think that maybe those are the types of thing that only NPCs can do well. But that's probably not true. Some things come easy. Some things are difficult. Some things can be learned over time. We probably all have things that we are good at, things that we are bad at it, and things that perhaps with some practice, we could become good at them. I don't know. We'll see.
