While in their teens they put out an epic rock opera called Queen of the Murder Scene about longing, regret, unrequited love and follows a woman into madness. Hailing from Monterrey, Mexico, the trio of sisters - Daniela "Dany“ (vocals, guitars, piano), Paulina "Pau" (drums, vocals, piano) and Alejandra "Ale" Villarreal (bass, piano, backing vocals). After exploding online with viral moment after viral moment, The Warning have used that momentum for a series of independent releases, including the Escape the Mind EP [2015], XXI Century Blood [2017] and Queen of the Murder Scene [2018]. Lzzy Hale is 6 ft plus when she wears those shoes of hers, so she would think most people are "tiny". The "fierce" part is a great complement considering Lzzy Hale is probably the most fierce female rock singer on the planet right now. It is also true. Dany reminds me of a young Joan Jett who is pretty fierce herself and also started performing at a young age like Dany. I was a fan of the Runaways back in the day.

This band got me to go to my first concert in 40 yrs. I’m 70, a long time rocker and retired from the entertainment industry. They come on stage at energy 11 and it just goes up from there. A wall of sound. Most of their concert music is better than the studio versions, on purpose. The next legit super group.

I cannot say enough about these amazing sisters. I just discovered The Warning a year ago and quickly became a life long supporter. The amount of energy, passion, and just love of doing what they do immediately grabbed me. I had not been to a concert since the early 2000s and I decided to go see TW early last summer. What an experience. They are even better live. 5 days later I drove 12 hours one way to see them again, and drove 4 hours to see them again in the fall, and I'm one of many. TWA (The Warning Army) members travel from all over to catch one of their shows. The last year has been fantastic for these ladies. They've opened for some of their biggest influences. One show for Foo Fighters, one show for Guns & Rose's, they toured summer and fall with Halestorm and The Pretty Reckless, toured Canada with Three Days Grace in November and starting tomorrow they are opening 4 shows in Mexico for Muse. The Warning are three sisters from Monterrey, Mexico that started making music very young Alejandra (Ale = Aleh, not the beer. Bass, backing vocals and keyboard, the youngest- 18) and Paulina (Pau = Pow. Drums, backing/lead vocals and keyboard, middle sister 20) at 3 and Daniela (Dany = Dany. Guitar, lead vocals and keyboard, the oldest 22) 5, all learning classical piano. They got the video game Rock Band and fell in love with the feeling of performing on other instruments. Their father asked if they wanted to learn another instrument and the girls jumped at the opportunity and gravitated to the instruments they played in Rock Band. They had been uploading their musical journey to KZbin for their family to see and had wanted to try and play music together as a band around 2012 and started rehearsing for a small performance for their school xmas show. Well They loved the experience so much they began learning and playing cover songs of hard rock and metal bands. One song in particular shot them into the limelight. That song, "Enter Sandman" by Metallica had gone viral (currently over 22 000 000 views) and had gotten the attention of Metallica, Dee Snyder and The Ellen Show! The Warning wrote, composed and recorded an EP called Escape the Mind in 2015 to experience that whole process and to determine what type of music they liked to make... Thankfully they chose Rock/Hard Rock! Ellen Degeneres invited the band to play live on her show, to which they accepted and played "Crazy Train" by Ozzy Osbourne, after the performance Ellen and Target awarded the sisters $10,000 each to attend Berklee School of Music in Boston, Ma. USA. They performed a number of small and large shows afterward and began writing and composing new material for their first full length album "XXI Century Blood" in 2017. They supported this album with some very high profile gigs like opening for Def Leppard and separately The Killers for two shows each in Mexico. Also following other large rock bands in a couple music festivals. In 2018 they wrote and recorded "Queen of the Murder Scene" and released it in November of that year and have toured Mexico and South American venues. In June of 2019 they released a single, "Narcisista". A scathing rebuke of their Mexican critics that had accused the band of being "Malinchista" a Mexican term used to call out cultural traitors, because the group has only recorded English language songs. Well this song is in Spanish and it is full of attitude and angst fired toward those critics. This was recorded live in June 2019 at Foro Didi in Monterrey Mx (their hometown) - kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWiscnieg5mFg68 The Warning is totally fan-funded through Patreon, KZbin and crowdfunding platforms like GoFundMe and Kickstarter. They have turned down offers from record labels and talent shows like American Idol because they did not want to lose their control of their music, image and wanted to focus on learning. In fact in one interview with a record label they were asked if they would rather play to 12 people or 12000. Paulina piped up and said The Warning would rather play in front of 12 if it meant they would keep their integrity and could play the music they want to play, how they want to play... That is the most Rock n Roll quote ever! So after a very successful Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a North American tour and to record a new album achieving their goal within 24 hours and surpassing that goal by 600%. Unfortunately the Covid-19 Pandemic forced the band to cancel their tour plans and postpone making their album. Their last live show before the global lockdown was March 14 2020 at the Vive Latino 2020 Festival in Mexico City.This did not stop The Warning from performing though, they played a full concert set from their basement studio/rehearsal space for free for their fans on KZbin and Facebook achieving well over 50,000 simultaneous viewers on March 25, 2020. They have since performed from The Warning Cave a couple more times including for the city of Brownsville, Tx. for the Fourth of July virtual celebration and later in the summer for a charity event with rock legends like Slash and Ringo Star. On August 9th 2020 The Warning announced to their Patreon community that after seven long months of negotiations they had signed a five record deal with Lava Records, a label under the Republic Records and Universal Music family. During the announcement they reiterated their dedication to their own creative integrity and dedicated fans on Patreon and were able to retain both in their record contract with Lava. In Sept of 2020 The Warning traveled to New Jersey, USA to begin rehearsal and eventually recording of their third album. After three months of recording and a month and a half of mastering, mixing and editing the third album was completed at the beginning of February, 2021. All that remains as of 22/02/21 is the album design and artwork and logistics of the release which will hopefully happen by the end of 2021. In March of 2021 The Warning was invited to cover a song from Metallica's eponymous 5th album (The Black Album) with Canadian Grammy and Juno award winning pop star Alessia Cara for Metallica's Blacklist album. A 30th anniversary celebration for the Metallica album. They selected to record Enter Sandman, a fitting song because it was this song that propelled The Warning 7 years previous into stardom. You've been Warned! The Villarreal sisters are the new hope for the survival (revival?) of Rock. If you're going to get properly oriented to the Warning journey, you need to start at the beginning - their cover of Enter Sandman when Dani (on guitar) was 14, Pau (on drums was 12) and Ale (on bass) was 9. That video now has over 24 Million views on KZbin and received positive comments from members of Metallica as well as getting them invited to contribute to Metallica's Blacklist album. Their cover on that of Enter Sandman included Allesia Cara and is one of the best covers you'll ever see. Hi These Ladies are opening for three days for Muse. Since they started they wanted to open for them The Muse are their idols. The lead singer turns 23 on the 30th. The drummer turns 21 near the beginning of February and the bassist turned 18 on December 13th.The drummer also sings lead and background and the bassist sing background. These three sisters are each phenomenal in their own rights. You mentioned Dany and her vocals, yes she's really great as a lead singer and guitarist, coming up with great riffs and leads (tasteful solos as well) and singing at the same time. She's a powerhouse. Pau, the drummer - a force of nature behind the kit and a principle writer for the group, also sings beautiful lead on a few songs while playing drums. And then Ale, the bassist - a great technical player and backing vocalist holding down the rhythm and lower end so proficiently. I first discovered The Warning back in mid 2015 when they were literally children doing covers and their father was posting videos of them on you tube for friends and family to see the girls progress. It has been well over seven years since I saw a video of them doing a cover of Metallicas Enter Sandman and have not missed a single day since in which I have listened to or watched a video of these amazing young sisters. In my 63 years of life I have never been so into a band as I am these young ladies. They are simply in a class of their own as no two songs sound alike. They exhibit a very wide range of “styles” in their music, yet at the same time have created a unique and distinct sound that is unmistakably their own. I believe it is impossible for them to produce a bad song. I have been saying for many years now that they would one day be known world wide and be recognized as one of, if not the greatest power trio of all time. If you continue down this rabbit hole I believe you will agree that they are well on their way to bringing that prediction to fruition. Mark my words, these sisters will without a doubt sell out arenas, stadiums, and be invited to headline the biggest music festivals the world has to offer. These young ladies are amazingly talented and just keep getting better. Tomorrow they start opening for Muse for 4 dates in their home country of Mexico. This is the beginning of the end of them being an opening act. People like you (reactors) are certainly helping this band rise to the top. A great example is Harry Mack. If you do dive into their catalog you're in for a real treat. Every song from them is good, most are great and some are just superb. They are in that select group of performers who are even better live. The Covid lockdown hit just days before they were supposed to kick off their first North American tour. Not letting that slow them down, they hit the studio and recorded their third album full of of concert-ready bangers. The tour eventually happened last year but much bigger than they expected. They should be in Nashville soon to work on the fourth album and I am eagerly awaiting that.

The last vocal bit was actually both Ale and Dany. Ale is the lower range in that part while Dany takes the higher for the studio version. It isn't showcased in this video, but you will see that Ale actually does the quiet part as a solo. For me The Warning is the best power trio out there. Personally I adore this band, and the personalities of these amazing rockers. Dany, Pau and Ale have rejuvenated rock that was very much needed. The last time I was EVER this excited for a band was back when I discovered Iron Maiden in 1989 and Metallica in 1986. These girls will go farther than both of those bands (and have already accomplished more at a younger age), and as Lizzy Hale told them, "rock is in good hands."

My oh my John, what you have stumbled upon is 3 sisters from Mexico. Dany(22) guitarist and lead vocals. Pau(20) on drums and vocals and Ale(18) on bass and backing vocals. These 3 amazingly talented sisters have been The Warning for 10 years now. They write all their own songs, and when they play live, it is just as great, if not better, than the music video. These girls are hard rock. They have a discography of over 40+ original songs, and personally, I can not say there is a bad one amongst them. Try doing a live video next time. Dust to Dust @ Lunario cdmx from 2019 will blow you away. Evolve is a pure adrenaline rush, Dull Knives will have you wanting more. Disciple will have your head bouncing. John, you have been WARNED! It is time to ride The Warning train my friend. This is my absolute fave band right now. These girls are so talented and you haven’t even scratched the surface. Choke is off the newest album ERROR. So many good songs top to bottom. Their songwriting is second to none. Their second album is Queen of the Murder Scene and that is a concept album and knocks everyone’s socks off. You have to listen to it in order and if you want to react to live versions, the concert at Lunario MDX is usually considered one of the best. I look forward to more The Warning reactions. Welcome to the world of The Warning. Both the guitarist and the drummer sing lead on most songs. The Bassist sings lead when needed- Here is their story and suggestions The Warning is a band of 3 sisters. Daniela, Paulina, and Alejandra. They live in Monterrey, Mexico and have been rocking out as a band since 2012 (when they were 12, 10, and 7 years old)! Their parents loved music and they grew up watching and listening to rock concerts. Daniela (Dany) and Paulina (Pau) attended a music initiation class when they were 5 and 3 respectively. Alejandra (Ale’) attended the same class when she was old enough. They loved it. They all started classical piano lessons when they were between 6 and 7 years old. When Dany was 7 their dad bought them the Rock Band video game and they absolutely fell in love with rock music and performing on stage…. even though it was just a game. When Dany was 8 years old her dad asked her if she wanted to learn another instrument, along with piano. She chose the guitar. Pau chose the drums when she was 6, and Ale’ chose the bass at 6 (but was too small to play it until she was 7). Ale’ had been playing bass for all of about 1 month when they decided to play together and that was when the band was formed. Note- their parents never pushed them to do this. This project was 100% the girl’s decision. Their parents completely supported them but never pushed them. In 2014 they made a video to send to their grandparents to show them how they had progressed in their playing. The video was too big to just email so their dad uploaded it onto KZbin. It was a cover of Metallica’s Enter Sandman and it went viral! To date it has well over 24 million views and was shouted out by Metallica’s Kirk Hammett, as well as many other famous bands. The girls were caught off guard completely by the attention this video got and they had to make a decision- they quit school and started homeschooling in order to devote as much time as possible to their music. They were 100% committed to this project and have never slowed down since (practicing 2 hours a day separately and another 2 hours together daily). In 2015 they released an EP called Escape the Mind. They released their first album in 2017 called XXI Century Blood (21st Century Blood) They released their second album in 2018 called Queen of the Murder Scene. It was a concept album telling the story of a young woman’s journey from desire, to love, to infatuation, to obsession, to psychotic, to murder, to remorse, and finally to suicide. It was an amazing album and was up for an Independent Music award in 2019. They just released (in 2022) their third album (first since signing to Lava Records) called Error. It is simply amazing! Dany sings lead on about 75% if the songs. Pau sings lead on about 25% of the songs (either while drumming, or while at the keyboard, or just out front). Ale’ is a little shy about singing lead but steps in and sings lead when needed. All 3 can literally jump in and sing lead on any song if needed (with no drop-off in quality) and their harmonies in songs are simply amazing! They have opened for several great bands including Alice Cooper, Def Leopard, Stryper, The Foo Fighters, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, Three Days Grace, Guns n Roses, and others. They made it work and developed/recorded this completely re-imagined song in one week. They created the music video with the same logistical restrictions. They are at least as good live as they are on their recordings. The problem is trying to figure out what to recommend - they have no duds. The official video for "Error" or the live session of "Evolve" would be great, but the drummer ("Pau", short for Paulina) does the best cover of Radiohead's "Creep". She also sings lead on "Dust to Dust", the first song of their "Queen of the Murder Scene" album. The live version at Lunario CDMX is a great one to watch.

Welcome to The Warning! They honestly don't know how to write a bad song, so if you want to keep going down the rabbit hole, you can literally pick any song and it'll be a banger. However, I recommend Evolve, Money, Error, Dust to Dust (Pau the drummer sings lead while singing), Dull Knives, or Survive at TEDx (They were 16, 14, and 12 at the time) which is a performance that hooked in a great many of The Warning Army. Oh and I love your use of that soft FF6 (or was that FF8?) song in the background while you were talking at the end, nice touch!

Hey John, signing up for more of The Warning! I won't suggest specific songs, the rest of The Warning Army are already in here with plenty for you to get started on. Would you believe that when they were 18, 16, and 13 years old they they wrote and recorded a full concept album? Well they did called Queen of the Murder Scene. It is truly a masterpiece so if/when you get to any of those songs, I would definitely suggest going through them in order. To make that even easier, in 2018 they debuted the full album live at Lunario CDMX and had it professionally recorded. Those videos are available on their YT page and broken into individual videos as well as the full concert all in one. If you want to get more of a personal introduction to them there is also a TedX talk titled "you have been warned" where they discussed their choice to stay independent as a young band as well as writing their own music and performing 3 original songs from their first full album XXI Blood. To truly appreciate this power trio you have to experience them live. The energy is off the charts. It's like standing in the middle of a hurricane and they simply don't have a bad song. You don't dare to leave to get a drink or go to the bathroom during their set because there are no filler songs.
