I’m actually one of those people who legitimately likes Ice Climber. I think the controls were designed to be that way to make it more challenging and you have to really plan out every move you make. Not to mention the music is phenomenal, and the game all around just has a particular vibe to it that I love.

The neat thing about NES Golf is unlike latter golf games; the slope arrows I believe all go the same direction once you are on the green. I had experience the Mandela effect with this game as I thought there was multiple directions for the slopes on the greens.

0:55 Sure, it means nothing in English, but the term "kuru-kuru" in Japanese means to go around and around, hence why the gameplay is the way it is. And most likely to make it easier to say (or maybe even for more appeal), Nintendo changed it to "clu-clu".

Agree, Tennis was a fun game! better than most sports titles for NES. IDK why but they got that one right for some 2 player fun. Tennis and RBI baseball were games i played with friends into middle school like 2001, we had a blast every time. RBI especially, it has more variety and skill based factors than you would think, and of course hilarious bugs that would have us laughing our asses off when a bug would screw someone over

Renegade/Nekketsu Kouha Kunio-kun on NES was a game I immediately wanted to defend since I think the arcade version is extremely underrated and its reputation as a terrible game is insane... but the NES port isn't great since it usually just encourages spamming one single move that's preferable in the overwhelming majority of contexts. Watch high-level play of the arcade game, then the NES game, and you'll see how spammy and unbalanced the latter is and how even speedrunning requires varying your moves a lot more in the arcade version. Sucks since I do like the little bits of variety they added in the NES version like the motorcycle sections.

Hey truthfully he answered his own issues in the video that I see a lot of "collectors" dropping out have. The price is too high or they don't enjoy most of the games. Problem is not enjoying the games but trying to buy all the games you can is where the burnout starts. It takes the enjoyment of something and makes it a chore. I heard a lot of Sega and nes but I didn't hear like master system old school PC may be something he might enjoy as well. If 90%of everything on any given system is not for someone no matter the generation then you know it's high time to get out of the market or hobby as that means you only enjoy 10% of something you really dont like it. Oh well good luck finding that love you once had for the retro stuff
