@@bestgaminghighlights8160 the ball is pretty bad, I played with a Vulcan like a week ago and sometimes it just doesn’t bounce like at all. Franklins are much more consistent but you should be okay using Vulcans just expect it to not bounce sometimes

I thought Ben was being dramatic when he melted down over the ball in singles a few weeks ago, but after getting a set of Vulcans on a cyber monday to try myself, I have much more empathy. Just by looking at it, the ball looked off, with varying degrees of smoothness around the holes, and even a small chunk missing from the edge of a hole out-of-the-box brand new. No problem, started playing with it. Bounce inconsistency issues off the bat. Could be the court had dead spots i guess... The ball got an inch and a half crack after 5 games. Just standard ~4.0 play. Started playing with a selkirk after that. Very surprising consumer experience lol I like Tyler Loong and him saying Vulcan is working with the same physical/material limitations as other companies prompted me to try it, but man, this should not be the official PPA ball, let alone be priced well beyond the competition.

One time a friend bought a pack of 3 Vulcans to try out, and EVERYONE complained about the inconsistent bounce of the ball. Sometimes it behaves like a normal Franklin, other times it just dies or skids instead of bouncing. Everyone around here prefers the X-40 balls, I bought like 300 of them on Black Friday.

Alshon did the correct play. You dink middle. He was caught out of position because he came up towards the middle so his footwork makes him in a defensive position. When in defensive position, you dink middle. The topspin dink to Colin would be a very tough shot given his position and how that ball was coming in.

From tanking in matches to almost constant complaining and moping. This looks like a sad exit and part of what will be their lasting legacy. There is something wrong with these guys and I wonder if Ben is being paid in full. Where would the PPA get the money to pay his salary? There is more to this than meets the eye…

They were dominating for years now they are struggling to win. I can understand how it can be frustrating. Their lives are pickleball and everyone knows them for being the best and sees them as pball wizards. So when they lose they take it personally. I think it’s common for that to happen. They’ll get more used to losing as the years go on
