For anyone curious, you can find the y intercept by essentially resolving the new equation for b with a value you know exists on the perpindicular line. For instance, if we know (3, 8) exists in the perpindicular linje, we can plug in 8 for y and 3 for x in the equation 8=(-3/7)* 3 +b to solve for b.

Uhh John I don’t mean to be disrespectful but I believe you made an error in minute 5:02 because you said “only Choice C has the -3/7 as a slope” but if you look at the question you will see that Choice D has -3/7 as its slope as well. Maybe you meant to do 3/7? Idk I’m just telling you before other ppl see it

He also made a mistake on problem 3. I graphed it on Desmos and I got (.667,1.667)

You're correct. Choice D is meant to have positive 3/7 as the slope. But the logic stays the same. Good catch - i'll make a note of it

Sir if I am going take take DIGITAL SAT in June, can I prepare for maths section ( module) of digital SAT from the practice questions of maths which are available for paper SAT on khan academy paper SAT practice or do I have to prepare maths from digital sat practice questions on khan academy?

Here is the answer for both of you ;) I'm taking the test in June too and why the heck would you not use the digital SAT practice questions when it's available? In case you've already gone through all the questions, you can practice with the paper SAT questions too (that's what I'm doing). The difference is not significant. You still need to know the same concepts to do well on the test. Bottom line: don't worry.

I'm confused for Slope-Intercept Form. How do we get the y-intercept of the equation? You explained in the video but I'm still confused. You took a random point from example question 1. So what point on the question do we take to get the correct y-intercept?

you get the y intercept by using a point on the line and plugging it into the equation. After he got the slope and it was "y=7/3x+b", he used one of the points given to find the b which would be the intercept. the point (3,8) was given and it was stated it lays on the line so he substituted and it became 8=7/3(3)+b then 8=7+b leading to b=1. y=7/3x+1

Hey John; I really like your videos they helped me a lot, but you're going too fast and some people may not understand; also you shouldn't say ( things you have to know before you were born ) cuz it really makes people feel dumb for just not knowing something; otherwise thank you so much for the explanation
