• ホイール鏡面磨き!ヤフオクでジャンク品扱いの...
tool
・ Paint remover
・ Waterproof paper # 120- # 2000
・ RYOBI Sanda Polisher RSE-1250
・ Sanda polisher (# 120- # 400)
・ DREMEl3000
・ DREMEl flexible shaft
・ Flap wheel # 240
・ Shake Morley (metal polishing liquid
I used a translator ↓↓
Work carefully for a long time.
Gloves and goggles are essential because release agents are very dangerous.
A lot of powder is flying in the sky.
Use a mask.
1. Clean the wheel
2. Use a release agent to remove the transparent surface treatment agent
If you cannot remove it enough, use a stripping agent many times.
4L 2L was used.
3. Wipe off the release agent with a wet cloth.
Wipe off
Wash the wheel with water.
Stripping agents are harmful to the earth.
Do not release as much as possible.
4. Polish all wheels with # 120- # 2000.
All work can be done without machines.
But by preparing the same machine as me
You can save a lot of time.
You need to prepare the next machine.
Strong support for work
・ Ryobi RSE 1250
・ DREMEL 3000
・ DREMEl flexible shaft
・ Flap wheel (# 240- # 400)
If possible, prepare the maximum number of FLAP wheels.
In Japan, up to # 400 is common, but I wanted # 800 or # 1000.
It is difficult to obtain in my country.
5. When the paint is removed, the wheel skin will be displayed.
The skin is very rough.
It must be mirrored.
It is a very hard work.
Work while listening to music and watching movies.
First polish with # 120.
It can be mechanical or manual.
Make it completely flat with # 120
Keep working with # 120, # 240, # 400
120- # 400 is a very important task.
If not enough,
Finally you regret.
After working up to # 2000, I was not satisfied with the results and returned to # 120.
120- # 400 must do the perfect work to not be like me.
It is not recommended to work in a dark place.
Because scratches are very difficult to see.
Prepare an LED light to check for scratches.
The scratches are visible with white light.
It is the same as when checking the scratches on the car body.
6. Use # 600- # 2000 to polish the wheel.
600, # 800 #, # 1000, # 1500, # 2000
It is a very long work.
This work makes the wheel a mirror.
7. Finally, polish the wheel with a metal abrasive.
A metal abrasive called “Shake Morley” was used.
This may not be sold in your country.
But there are similar products.
A metal abrasive containing a coating agent is not recommended because it is difficult to wipe off.
Continue working until it is mirror-finished with a metal abrasive.
If it is not mirrored, you need to go back to # 400 and # 600.
If you get dull or black with a metal abrasive, try a strong metal abrasive before trying a finishing metal abrasive.
“Shake-Morley” is capable of strong polishing and finish polishing.
I hope there is a similar product in your country.
8. Use RYOBI RSE-1250 for deep scratches on the rim.
This machine is a “Random Orbit Thunder”.
Can also be used for car polishing.
Install # 120 on this machine.
Polish deep rim scratches.
Do the same for the entire rim so that the shape of the rim does not change.
Use # 120, # 240, # 400, # 800, # 1500, # 2000.
If you do not have # 800- # 2000, run it manually.
Finally, create a mirror surface using a metal abrasive.
* 9. Finally, there is important advice
In your country
If a cotton buff is on sale, please purchase it.
Attach a cotton buff to the "Random Orbit Thunder" and polish the metal.
Combination of cotton buff and metal abrasive
Make the metal mirror easily.
I recently realized it.
Although not in English, this video is helpful.
Cotton buffs were used after # 400.
The mirror surface can be easily realized.
・ • 鉄のバンパーは磨けば光る?パジェロミニの錆び...
This video is also useful for manual work.
This is the first video I tried to polish the wheels.
I worked without sleeping for days.
You will hear a tired voice at the end of the video.
・ • 中古ホイール磨き!剥離剤と耐水ペーパーとコン...
I wish you success.
Create a similar video again.
Since Japan is winter, the next video will take time.
but, I promise that there will be next.

@@JOHNSNOWROAD Hi I have E38 740i with M Parallel wheels too. I sand blasted mine and then primed and sprayed in the color of the car (Titansilber). I had to apply several coats of ETCH primer, 4-5 coats of base coat, then 4 coats of clear laquer and at the end I put the M badges and sprayed the final coat of laquer on the top. The reason I did this as it rains a lot in Ireland and if I didn't protect the metal it will oxidate and corrode again after less than a year. ありがとうございました

@@TheKeenMechanic I saw that video! So great work !! At Japanese car events, some people don't clear paint on the wheels. The reason is that the wheels lose their shine. The most shining thing is that there is no clearness. But that's not practical!

Maybe you should use highpressure washer to remove old paint, it can be quicker than doing it by hand. Wet sanding gonna be better when you pre-soak sandpaper.

@@jgordon7719 The tools used were "Shake Morley, RYOBI RSE-1250, Sandpaper # 120- # 2000, DREMEL3000, FLAP WHEEL # 240". I don't know if these are sold to your country. However, I think there are similar products. Invisible scratches affect the final result. # 120- # 400 is very important. Combination of cotton buff and metal compound Make the most shining aluminum I know Be sure to purchase a cotton buff and polisher It ’s not in English, but I think this video is also a hint. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oonIaayfpZucfKc
