On January 26th and 27th, 2022, Johnson & Johnson’s inaugural Nurse Innovation Fellowship cohort shared their capstone project presentations.
Hiyam Nadel, RN, MBA, BSN, CGC, Director of the Center for Innovations in Care Delivery at Massachusetts General Hospital, shared how she’s creating opportunities for nurse-led innovation at her institution through the creation of a portal and process that allows nurses and other frontline workers to submit their innovative ideas driving visibility. To date, she has helped incubate eight ideas-all in various stages of development, prototypes and commercialization.
The J&J Nurse Innovation Fellowship, conducted in partnership with the Center for Creative Leadership and Nurse Approved, aims to strengthen the leadership and entrepreneurial skills of inspired and innovative nurses to help amplify and integrate nurse-led innovation in healthcare. Each cohort of Fellows consists of 12 experienced nurses participating in both virtual and in-person training, and includes individualized mentoring and capstone project presentations.
