At this point I think its reasonable to say that Christian is the second best male player in the world right now. He’s inarguably a top 3 and arguably top 2 mixed male, he’s a top 5 left side mens player, a top 3 mens right side player, and arguably a top 5 mens singles player and inarguably top 7 singles men. A lot of male players have 2 out of those 3 but all 3 the only one with all 3 is Ben and thats Ben. Fed is the best singles player and a top 5 mens left player but he’s solidly 7th or 8th in mixed and the gap between him and Dekel and Tyson and the rest of the top 5 is pretty large. Gabe is the best mens right side player period, and he’s probably a top 5 mixed player but he’s nowhere close in singles. Just my take and there are valid reasons to disagree I know Adam stone thinks its Hayden and while I think Hayden is the second best right side player in the world rn I dont think he’s top 5 on the left and I dont think he’s top 5 mixed and he’s def not top 10 mens right now. But yea just my take

Parenteau needs to ditch Selkirk. Those paddles are very mid and holding her back. I like Hayden better on the right side and Gabe #2. Just from an energy standpoint. Gabe has a bit more up and down to his energy. Alshon is an amazing player and seems like a great guy off the court. His on court persona is super tacky and seems to fire up his opponents just as much as it does him. If you want to act like a bully yelling in peoples face maybe give the UFC a try, but again... off court seems like a great guy.

This particular tournament is a special season finale where only the top 8 or 16 players who have accumulated the most PPA points this year in each category (wo/men’s singles/doubles, mix doubles) were invited to play. Jack Sock was definitely in the running for some events but didn’t quite do well enough in enough PPA events this year to make it.
