THANK YOU JOHN! The bottom elements of the "C" and "E?" It only seems ergonomically natural to the human hand to angle the brush the way your doing it, not the reverse method as most exemplars show.

What paper roll is that? Seems way better than just using sheets of paper pads for practicing!

I use inexpensive brown paper in a 24" roll. I like the texture. I allows for drag on the brush and it's inexpensive. Check out ULine.
