At 47:03:- GEM: when Tank asked who came up with the “Ooh, ooh” in Mariah’s Shake it off track. Tank is a real musical genius to even think to ask this question and it’s so cool to be educated on parts of songs that I personally would look over. I forget Mariah has an ear for song melodies and adding the “ooo ooo” in her songs like the classic “Shoe do do do do do do do” in her song “Fantasy”. Best Episode thank you ❤.

Talking about cultural impact vs charts… bring the legend Bryan Michael Cox, breaking charts and part of culture for ever! Loved Johnta’s LSR, Turn it Up, Close your Eyes… Songwriter, Singer this dude’s music is always so good and unique! P.S. you guys should put them people to work after each episode… bringing all these talents to interview them in a studio and not drop musical magic afterwards is damn near BLASPHEMOUS (in that Stephen A. Smith voice 😂)

Another AWESOME interview as ALWAYS!! I hope this podcast NEVER goes away... I remember watching Johnta on TV when he was a "little man", but later TRIPPING OUT when I realized he was the GROWN MAN behind a PLETHORA of hits!! SIMPLY AAAY-MAZING...👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I also want to give a shoutout to Manuel Seal. Being "cradle" friends with the Scott sisters (XScape), they stopped by my family home in College Park, GA one evening and brought him along. He was in town working on some songs for the group's first album, before he became the well- known UNSUNG songwriter/producer we know today. My mom (RIH) fed him a good 'ole Southern dinner and he LOVED it! A short time after that, he began writing the hits! Of course, my mom was SO PROUD to have had a "famous" music writer/ producer in her home! LOL Fast forward 4-5 years later, I was dating another industry writer/ producer who lived in the same neighborhood as Manuel and upon visiting my guy that day, Manuel came over. He looked at me and mentioned "knowing me from somewhere." I reminded him of being at my mom's house for dinner and he began raving about what a good dinner and time that was! The world is really small y'all...😊 It's so good to know Manuel's still with us and able to receive his KUDOS. 🙏🏾💝💝🙏🏾 PS. "STINGY" is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Ginuwine song- whew Chile! 🔥Thank you Johnta!

When I saw an hour and 41 seconds I knew it wasn't enough. Tank and J, or amazing freestyle interviewers. They're great at allowing the artist to tell their story. However I think they would benefit from having some prepared questions to make sure nothing's missed. When you have someone like Johnta, who has accomplished so much, it's easy to miss some things.
