The Sinfonians Symphonic March, Clifton Williams - Troy Symphonic Band, 5/5/17

What memories of my high school band days '66-'67! I was 3rd chair clarinet in the SFA Bronco Band in Bryan, Tex. under the direction of Jack Briggs when we first play Sinfonians March. WE began performing this to our half time football performances (remember this is a march) and later at the State Marching Contest where we received a superior rating. Our band director must have had an insight because Clifton Williams was one of the judges. We later performed it again at the Spring band concert performance and again received a superior rating. Not many bands today march 6 to 5 (military style) as we did which makes the Sinfonians March perfect. The only draw back is the piccolo solo being heard in the stands. Hats off to a great performance by these young Sinfonians well done.
