Every guy, no matter how old, appreciates the effort put in to this opus. I love it more every time I watch it. When I was 12 or so, we did this with firecrackers from Tijuana, because fireworks were illegal in LA. My older sister's hairspray cans ("Aqua-Net", the best) were the "flame throwers". This was the early 60s, and hair spray was plentiful. Several toy tanks, some airplane and ship models, and lots of plastic soldiers were sacrificed to recreate battles that we saw on TV. And to keep the fires going during each skirmish, borrowed lighter fluid was always awash on the models. A few singed fingers added to the realism. And we'd have to change our clothes before running in for dinner, due to their smelling of burnt plastic. Ahh! the good old days of misspent youth.

I can't believe I subscribed to you 14 years ago, much less I'd see this ancient video again.

Now this… was great!! Everything from your “cast “ selections, pyrotechnics, sets , camera angles (especially the bell tower and bridge) , audio syncd near-perfectly with the action, attention to detail (especially the part with the sticky bombs and hand-primed mortar rounds ) Now.. the real question is… can you do the infamous opening Omaha Beach scene?? Haha. As Ol’ Ebert & Roeper would say: “two thumbs way up” Well done. You are 1 of the many reasons KZbin is awesome.
