Dr C I agree with you. Here are few things that run in a normal Indian girl's mind: 1. How will be my new "family"? 2. What will happen to my parents (if she is the only kid)? 3. My relatives or his relatives/family are not happy what did I / my family do wrong? 4. Am I looking fair enough? If not how will I tolerate the comparisons? 5. Will I be able to work and wear dress of my choice after marriage? 6. Will they let me meet my family regularly after marriage? 7. How will my father repay all the debt made for my marriage? And many such trivial stuff. So how will she smile? Marriage is the most stressful day for both Indian men and women.

In India there were a lot of different traditional stages includes in different regional areas ... especially related to South India tradition... There is structure and you need to know it and its significance... which tell a lot in meaning and explains the significance of the rituals and promises,,, but i feel flat with out soul sorry to say ... its what i feel... may be i am only one person who is giving odd feedback... i didnt mean to hurt you... Because I know a Photographers and Video graphers use to work and how much stress they use to go... and these were the only last people who use to meet that Couple to Handover complete event stuff after taking many suggestions from them in finishing their work... if you got that footage ... Still you got a chance to present in stunning way... last but the not least... whats your luck in this video is the Bride and Her happy smile enjoying every ritual .... which completely over comes lack of good BGM,and nice presentation may be you are over influenced by RGV movies

I have seen many Telugu marriages as a kid and I just saw Srinivasa Kalyanam new movie yesterday emphasizing traditional Telugu marriage which is losing touch with people in modern times. I can tell you that this wedding video is true in every spirit a traditional Telugu wedding, I guess this Telugu Brahmin wedding as each community has slight variation. The (American) girl was absolutely like a Telugu bride in all aspects. She won the wedding games which is the fun aspect apart from rituals. Happy married life to this couple.
