WoW!!!! So many beautiful cars!! Thanks for the tour! Growing up in the 60's in Superior, Wisconsin, in the evenings we'd tune our transistor radios to WLS AM Chicago. Their main sponsor was Mr. Norm's Grand Spaulding Dodge. Their big deal was that they had a "Dyno tuner".

Thanks Tom for the extensive walk around of the show! I haven't gotten a chance to see it in person, so watching yours and Ryan's (auto archeologist) videos are great! I'm a born and bred Mopar guy too. My dad worked for the "old" Chrysler Corporation.. started in '63. He worked in the department that created v.i.n. #'s... he was a computer programmer that created the IBM TAB cards for all Chrysler vehicles. So I have been involved with Mopars my whole life. Thanks again 👍

@@rocketrestoGotcha! I figured it out by the time you passed the Mod Top car. 😊. I actually got a got a kick out of some of the covered cars- even the covers are gorgeous. Could you imagine selling the Hurricane car’s cover as a mass-market one-size fits all cover? There would be a lot of head scratching on that one.

Fantastic array. 19:45 The paint/color on that Firebird was stunning. What color was it? Was it a root beer brown? A bronze? Any story on it? Another poncho that caught my eye was the ‘65 Lilac Mist GTO - gorgeous rare color. I’m pretty sure I saw it featured in a magazine back in the 90s. I like the ‘69-72 GP noses, but they look better with quad headlights. Also, thanks for lingering on that Toyota Crown - never seen one before.
@rocketresto3 күн бұрын
Not sure on that color, not much of a Pontiac guy but it was interesting.
@mattskustomkreations3 күн бұрын
@ Thanks. I like Mopars but they were out of my league financially and comfort level when I was an active classic car owner. I favored ‘67-‘69 Mercury Cougars, plus I owned daily-drove a mint ‘72 Pontiac Luxury LeMans HT Coupe. If you’re not familiar with them, ‘72 was a one-year only body style for the LLM. It had its own grille, trim, and badging plus the top interior. It also had ‘71 GTO taillights and rear bumper. The craziest thing about them was that they had factory fender skirts!!! Pontiac was obviously trying to slice the LM/Tempest/GTO pie into many pieces. My only Mopars have been mom’s ‘74 Gold Duster with back seat trunk access option, and a ‘94 Concorde my folks gave me - was an awesome car.
