Looks a very nice set up at the Amethyst, will give it a look next time I’m in town. For anyone not too familiar with the city, it’s hard to think of a better spot more in the heart of the action than that corner of Soi 15 and Buakhao. Plenty of good eating spots within a 5min walk as well.

Nice video. What is amazing to me is in the busy areas of the city, and in the Bangkok videos I watch also, there is zero garbage on the streets. The streets and side walks might not look great, but there is zero loose, random garbage on the street.

Soi Buakhao is always a fun lively walk. Buakhao market on the South end is worth a visit too as is the Buakhao market across the street from Witherspoons on the North end

Amethyst is my top pick for Pattaya. Uniformed doorman salutes you as he holds the door open ( nice touch ). When you book it’s an extra £5 stg. per day for breakfast. It works out cheaper if you pay on the day for 150bht. as and when. Great selection and good value. Open to non residents as well. Just a little further down soi 15 Hotel Centara Azure offers a similar deal also open to non residents, and a stunning tropical fish aquarium.😎

Looks fab. But, I did a check on booking for 1 week in January and they asked for £1300!!! we have stayed at the LK Emerald in Naklua 3 times… just along from the Dusit and it is just over £500 for same week, including breakfast. There’s a Free shuttle to dolphin roundabout ever half hour (we like to walk along the beach and cut through the Dusit and pick up a taxi ) A bolt taxi to Soi Buakhao from hotel is only 160bhat…, The LK rooms have fab sea views, great pool, gym, sunbeds, top notch food, happy 2 hours, lovely rooms, smashing staff, bath, shower, all amenities etc and you can walk straight onto the beach from the pool. That looks a nice hotel but we’ll stick to the LK…great vlog and each to their own I suppose 👍

Amethyst hotel is very classy. I went inside for a show-around the week it opened. Special offer promotion, rooms at 50% discount. It's a bit weird the new bars in Soi Boomerang not open, except Tuk's 2. Six months ago, low season, roasting hot, all four bars were open. Strange.

Good for a short stay, for a long stay too expensive. But excellent location. I stayed closeby in The Hideaway Guesthouse (which is excellent value-for-money !!!) for 3 months in 2023).

Hi Trevor nice one mate and yes the Amethyst is beautiful I saw a couple a month ago it was low season and I saw a room they show it was 183.00cdn/day yes it's expensive but it's a classy Hotel very nice and I just saw a video yesterday of Heaven Above with the Mamasan and they have 50 girls and she show upstairs a rooms it's insane how big the room is they have a sofa big double bed t.v bathroom and small fridge and microwave and she said the price I was really surprise 550baht but the only think he forget to ask if you can stay like a month or 2 that I don't know but it's nice oh David told me 2 days ago to watch his member video because he will film Oxo bars he had a invitation of the owner so yesterday he went with Nong at the Oxo and he film inside girls were dancing it's really nice we'll it's brand new lot of table for the girls to dance and they have stage with girls dancing in a pole . Me too love sweet corn here in Chateauguay when he start the season I go at the same place for over 35 years I know the owner and usually when the season of sweet corn finishes around end of September I will have eat 14 dozen of sweet corn I love with butter on it and salt. Sweetcorn is almost a superfood Trev. Too many benefits to write in one comment. One that can help both you and me is that it contains potassium which lowers acid levels, eg uric acid, so can help gout. High fiber too, and various vitamins.

Pattaya is touring town , so everyone including Thai live differently then rest of part of Thailand, It’s a money town and Chinese spend more then falang, plus they closer cultural and religious so of course they favour Buddha countries…. It’s for us to fit in ….not the other way around

Not a real surprise Trev the Debua have blanked you twice. Very poorly run hotel. Stayed before and they keep making you change rooms. One poor fella had to change room 3 times in 3 days. Never again 😒
