When I was just going through the process of getting my certified to work underground I was offered a job with Consol but they where moving most of their operations out of Kentucky up to Pennsylvania. I didn't want to leave home so I went to work for James River Coal company. Leeco- blue diamond mines to be exact. I spent a couple decades working in mental health. It was a challenging career to say the least but the one thing that always amazed me was the parents like Corrie! There is nothing more loving then a parent who is willing to give 100% of themselves to make sure their children thrives and are willing to do it for the rest of their lives! With the organization I worked for a good number of the individuals we cared for where their because they didn't have anyone willing to be that kind of person. Autistic kids are some of my favorite people on the planet! The highlight of my holidays is always going to the local school to play Santa for the special Ed classes.

Aiden goes to a special school now, our public school system here did not have special programs for autistic children and they lumped him in with all the rest of the kids, it just didn't work. Happy B-day to Aiden. My other half has autism. She's high functioning. She makes a lot of money too. It might sound odd but her autism is why she is so good at her job. Hospitals all over the Seattle area continually fight to have her work for them. Now about this going back in time thing.. Autism has a lot of different aspects to it as you know David. Some are high functioning, some are not, but Corrie is the expert and not me, I just know about such things as hover track..... :-) I placed an order for 16 miles of it sometime back, but I think the fabricating shop is dragging their heels a bit on that one? Guess maybe the shop is waiting on winning a billion dollars in the lottery so they can purchase the right milling machines? Thank you for sharing your story my friend.
