This is ridiculous. God is not chaotic--this is chaotic. The fire of Elijah was not accompanied by acting a fool. We were NEVER taught in the Bible to pray to the Holy Spirit. We are to pray to the Father through through the Son. The Spirit assists us.

You’re incorrect the Bible speaks about praying in the Holy Spirit are you reading from the Holy Bible or are you going off of tradition or policy! Please read your Bible! By the way I’m third and fourth seventh day Adventist !

@@MsCheri2010 No, sister: YOU are in error! Don't be so glib with your word play! Are you interested in TRUTH, or do you just want to argue? If you're correct, kindly provide chapter and verse where we are told to pray TO the Holy Spirit - which is the point you seem to think you can "correct" by shifting it to praying IN the Spirit. You will not find the former, so go ahead and try to prop up your flimsy argument with Biblical instruction on the latter. Even IF you can show that, it will not disprove dopeydwarfy's thesis. Finally, if you think you have a better idea of prayer than that which Jesus taught His disciples, you're on a very slippery slope indeed!

if this style of worship is ungodly, what does the Bible say about it?

This outrageous screaming is indeed what Elijah encountered on Mt. Carmel - but make NO MISTAKE - it was not HIS shouting that brought God's fire! His simple prayer had NO such emotionally charged, manic repetition! It was the prophets of Baal who carried on like this! Keep reading on from there and you will see how God answered his later prayer: with a still, small voice, not struggling to breathe. Lord, have mercy!
