@@swagittarius5748 the term originates from Sappho, who was an ancient greek poet who's known today for writing sensually about women and it's prolific for being one of our surviving examples of female homoeroticism. the word "lesbian" actually has the same origin, as it derives from the name of the isle of Lesbos, which is where Sappho was from. I just think that's a neat fact and i wanted to share :3

It is his job as a man to do so and if he helps you two, he will get the money back tenfold for being so in touch with his masculine energy. Don't worry, all of you will benefit from the arrangement. somehow that last piece of his advice was the most unhinged. like, if you've made your kid feel unloved and unsafe and uncared for, apparently you should totally confront them about it and force them to either admit or deny it up front with no warning and no backup? one-on-one to the person who made them feel unloved and unsafe? sure. that'll definitely work and won't backfire terribly at all. absolutely make your kid do all the emotional work in the relationship and carry the weight of your need for validation and teach the adult in charge of them how to be a parent to them better from within the position of relatively low power and authority and age experience, or else let them suffer under your comfortable delusions of adequacy. 10/10 advice.

@@Acorn905 not set in stone, just depends on the situation. As a woman I wouldn't want someone to pay for my stuff on a first/second date or sth. When it feels like it's going somewhere, that's when the man can pay if he wants, and other times I'll pay too. To let someone pay for my dinner, when I know there's not gonna be a second date, it feels wrong. We both came here to see if there's chemistry, it's not like I'm doing a favor to a man by going on a date with him. Like I'm human, not a pretty thing to show around, I want to be taken seriously, so I'm not gonna go on a date I don't want to go to. And if I want to go, why would I not pay for my own food?

A man who looks down at a woman is not a man at all. Both man and woman can show courtesy towards each other. Helping each other. A man does not need to do all the work. A woman can help too. The man can help with household chores while the woman can go to work. Both men and women can help each other in everything. There is no role in gender: a man is capable of kindness and courtesy, while a woman can be greedy and condescending. And no! Pretending to be manly doesn't make the Universe to give you more money. So a woman doesn't need a man or another woman all the time for everything. She is capable if she put the effort.

No we must follow the gender roles or else "the woke" is going to take over and society will "fall apart" TwT

Well based on some things I've seen women post maybe his point is if you are unhappy with your role in relationships try the more traditional role & see how you feel. I've seen post from "boss babes" saying they wish they could be a homemaker or they've realize climbing the corporate ladder isn't making them happy. I mean if you're a woman who enjoys the corporate work life or just working away from home that's fine, you do you. It's just the feminist put women down that want to be homemakers while shouting women should be able to do whatever they want. Society makes it sound like a woman that wants to stay at home, take care of the house, & rraise her kids should feel like she's not as accomplished as the the success business woman. It's also come to a point where it's hard to live on one income, not impossible but difficult. He seems to be coming from a perspective of traditional role aren't this horrible thing that they are made out to be. Yes there are things that need to change but overall it's not this thing that makes women miserable. My family is more traditional. These "corrections" he's talking about, like men are allowed to feel, are things that they seem to learn at some point. My dad has always been the tough guy that saw tears as weakness. But now he's grown to realize it's ok to cry sometimes.
@audreydoyle5268 Жыл бұрын
Any women, or person for that matter, who talks down to homemakers is NOT a feminist. Anything that falls out of gender equity and equality in education and employment, closing the wage gap, suffrage, including every survivor of SA&DV in the discussion about MeToo, and advocating for both men's and women's rights, as well as for parental, not just maternity, leave, **anything** outside of that is not about feminism. Anyone who claims "it's all men,", "I don't want a son,", "trans women are not women,", "I don't need a man/partner,", or "who cares about men's rights and mental health, they're not victims,". They are femin*zis. We need to bring back the word femin*zi to describe TERFs, overly zealous misandrists, and the people who snub homemakers and mothers. The goal of feminism has always been about equity and then equality. I'm happy to hear about your father's growth, realising vulnerability not as a weakness, but as a strength, and a necessary part of being human.
