It is so obvious how much you enjoy doing what you do. I thought about you over the last couple of days saying “It only takes a few minutes to make a jig.” It’s taken me a day and cost me a fortune to buy a router bit. I truly am in awe of your talent Oliver 🌞

Timely upload for me, I've removed a dozen sash windows in my victorian refurb, currently repairing them in preparation for painting! I'm a carpenter by trade but looking to start spraying my own work, (unfortunately gone through some terrible painters and decorators in the past). I'm sold on Anker Stuy paints, but do you think they can be sprayed with a cheap HVLP sprayer? I don't want to invest in a pro level sprayer until I've made mistakes/learnt with a cheap machine first. Keep up the great work.

Getting to know you over the years I’ll bet you found it really hard to let somebody else do the filming 😊 but wow the same standards are being upheld and the music cover is brilliant. Im hoping it’s someone that come to you and said give me a chance, ill do your video and lets see how it goes.

THanks Jim, Yeah you got it about right. Hoping to build a regular upload on youtube and some instructional/skills/knowledge on a website behind a small paywall in the future

A very timely video, I’ve just collected 50m+ each of some machined MDF board and three individual sections of tulipwood for some mock Victorian architraves for my renovation project. Does my memory serve me correctly that you use the Mighton high build primer for interior woodwork priming? If so, do you rate it? The MDF is looking a little furry where it’s been rounded over and I’m looking for something to stabilise that and hopefully help get a smooth finish… cheers.

I dont, I use Kortec for interior enamel, depending if spraying or brush final coat they will suggest a paint to suit you and they are the very best quality

Dude you’re a legend - I look forward to every video you produce. Great move to get Ali to help with the filming and production! QQ if you can, how do you tackle Part-Q / PAS24 for a refurb?
@BradshawJoinery2 күн бұрын
Thanks Mate, I have moved away from exterior joinery (but still do select bits) i tend to work on older buildings, that the client will either keep for a very long time or they understand they will need an indemnity policy come sale. (Or go through BC approval for the install.) I know joiners who have gone down the PAS 24 route, its not too bad, but i moved away from exterior joinery as Whole window u values and Part q regs started being introduced along with getting bored of folk wanting plastic window prices for highly skilled work, along with every install seemingly getting rained on, i lost the love of it. . For the limited amount i do, the client will either accept that it wont be PAS 24 and Part L or i don't do it. No building inspector has looked at my joinery and complained about it yet. Usually incredibly happy to see nice work.

Hi Ollie, Whats the Art No. on the wurth filler please I can't see it on the website, I use a lot of there stuff and find them great and have been trying to find a decent pre-mixed filler for a while now, one strike seems to be a bit powdery some times. Cheers Kev
@BradshawJoinery10 сағат бұрын
ask the rep for 1 part wood filler, its weird stuff, dries really quick when thin. can be hard to sand bigger bits Its very like this one amzn.to/4ib5FzF i don't use it much, usually when its only a few small fills, or on some painted bits where the 2k melts the paint

Really interesting to see you setup. I am just about to build a new spray room but want to build the booth rather than buy! Is your booth a self build ? If so what size fan?
@BradshawJoinery16 сағат бұрын
i bought a £3k booth from richmond spray booths, but they come up regular on woskhop dispersals cheap if you are prepared to remove them
@Wattsjoinerybarn15 сағат бұрын
@ thanks. Yes seem quite a few fairly cheap 2nd hand, tbh it’s more trying to deal with the shape of the room I want to put it in. Do you ever need to shut yours off to the drying area or do you leave it open all the time?
@BradshawJoinery15 сағат бұрын

@@BradshawJoinery I'm doing woodwork carpentry with only waterbased finish brushed on, or linseed oil rubbed on. It's not worth the airborn hazard to spray oilbased finish or paint. I brush on paint sometimes for exterior work because it's so much easier to complete paint grade woodwork on the exterior than it is to have finishe grade lumber on the exterior. But being 26 with several years of carpentry and woodwork experience, I must say that some things, such as safety, are more important than industrial building materials which are hazardous. TBH I enjoy not needing a respirator on the job, but I need to get the dust collection on the topside of my table saw better because sawdust is too much there. Nice skill Bradshaw Jointery, and nice comment @markfiges999
