Lovely footage again, thanks Justine, can't decide if it's better to know what you are going to jump or have the shock of pig wire lurking behind a hedge that tipped my pony up, or a drop that you weren't expecting, I think if I was still riding blood hounds would win lol 😆 x

It’s only a rough idea and I don’t generally know where the runners go …. The huntsman does but the runners have free rein in some areas x

Yes they are very good at sticking to the line and following the runners scent we work hard to make sure they stay true to the runners

Are your lines pre discussed with the runners and you follow a ‘set’ route so to speak, obviously depending on the hounds or do you give them an idea and the runners choose? I adore seeing (and hearing) hounds work, there really is nothing like morning with a bit of mist, maybe some port, hounds in full cry and the sound of a hunting horn. Almost makes me sad when they blow for home.

They are normally given a map of a route where the fences are and then they can go within that map where they like if that makes sense x
