Yeah he really did truly loved julia but one thing stings me that when spike and julia reunited,He had that clod stare and when julia hugged him he didn't returned her hug plus he didn't ran away with her and what he wanted more was to confront his past Now many people say spike wasn't sad when julia died but i think he was really sad as his facial expressions were giving off that vibe of grief Now spike isn't that tupe of character that woukd cry like a kid and he keeps the pain to himself Right after Julia's death when he went to jet he told him that story and meanwhile his face wasn't being highlighted on and that tells that he was very sad But julia was his past and what was more important for him was to confront that past and face vicious

Spike immediately realizes that Julia was protecting him and he uses this information to fish for an "I love you". The cold stare is a parallel to Katerina from session one. Both Spike and Katerina had the same dream, to runaway from their life of crime with their beloved. Their dialogues expressing this wish mirror each other. Both also had realizations that their dream would not come true. (They both get the same expression.) That's why the raindrops on Spike's face are arranged to look like tears. Julia is offering him what he always wanted, but he already knows that he won't get to run away with her. Spike watched what happened when Katerina and Asimov tried to run. He knows the same is in store for them. In fact, multiple scenes from session 1 are drawn to resemble scenes in sessions 25/26. The song that played just before Spike went to see Julia is the same song that played just before Katerina and her husband died. Katerina's husband dies from a fatal gunshot as does Julia, while both Katerina and Spike are sliced across the abdomen. The parallels and foreshadowing become very apparent if you watch their scenes back to back. BTW, Spike sidesteps females he does not want in his personal space. He does so to Faye that same episode. He did it to the waitress in Heavy Metal Queen too. Spike let himself be held by Julia and we never saw them break apart. All while he was holding a red rose for her. Later on in the episode, Spike thinks about when he made love to Julia and she held him in her arms. That scene is drawn to resemble how Julia held him in the cemetery. Obviously, being held by Julia was something Spike wanted and enjoyed as the song that plays while he has this recollection is literally a pledge of undying love.

@@tiger-stripedcat7199 I wanted spike to end up with julia but with faye too at the same time Now i previously mentioned that spike will only love one women in his life and that is only and only julia and julia too loved him but people make misconceptions about her that she cheated on spike but it was the other way around as she cheated on vicious as he was the first man in his lofe but then she fell in love with spike but vicious would6let her go and i somehow feel bad for vicious, lets suppose if you were at his place the what would be your reaction when you see your wife sleeping with another man who is also your best friend/rival or partner etc Now julia acted as the curse between those two as the chain can't be broken until julia does and neither will die but when julia died that chain broke as spike also didn't hqd anything to protect now but i think he really cherished his relationship with jet,faye,ed and ein at the end what was more important for spike was to face his past cuz it was again chase him even if we ran away with julia But i lobed how they potrayed spike's grief on julia death and that line and I'm going there to check whether I'm alive or not(Its not the same but it was like it) so he just wanted to settle his past once for all Now about his death,Its up to our mind but i have both excuse that he died and he didn't Well i want to believe he didn't died and is living his daily life bounty hunting with his party

This is the most uniquely edited AMV I've ever laid my eyes upon and I wish others that others too, would be able to see the amount of thought that went into this video. You managed to encapsulate and convey the magic of this song through cowboy bebop somehow intensifying the emotion that the song first gave me, especially the final parts of the AMV where as spike was slowly losing strength, It was as if you put us in his with his entire life flashing before his eyes. thank you for making this AMV!
